Echo Kastrel, born on Hurston and raised in Lorville, fled her home planet at 12 to escape indentured servitude after her parents died in an industrial accident. Surviving on the gritty streets, she joined the Junkyard Dog, a Reclaimer, where the crew quickly took her in. Nicknamed "Lucky Lil Eight" for her survival skills and billiards prowess, Echo became vital to the crew, learning salvaging, engineering, and combat.
When Nine Tails pirates destroyed the Junkyard Dog, Echo was the sole survivor, rescued by the UEE Navy. After a debrief at INS Jericho, she received Captain Briggs’ legacy: a cozy unit and a restored Avenger craft. Renaming the ship "Trick Shot," Echo swore vengeance on the Nine Tails and embraced her new identity as Lady Eight, ready to reclaim her destiny.
