History of United DAO

Inception Amidst the Chaos of the Frontier

Founded during the turbulent expansion of the United Empire of Earth (UEE), United DAO emerged as a response to the ever-growing demand for resources and the need for a new kind of leadership in the far reaches of space. As humanity pushed deeper into the Stanton system and beyond, it became clear that traditional organizations, driven by hierarchical and corporate models, could no longer meet the challenges posed by unexplored systems, hostile environments, and the vast potential of the galaxy’s untapped resources.

A group of pioneers, prospectors, and explorers saw an opportunity to create something new—an organization built not on corporate greed or centralized control, but on the principles of decentralization, cooperation, and collective governance. Thus, United DAO was born, combining the best minds from exploration and industrial sectors, united under a single mission: to conquer the frontier through shared knowledge, resource management, and collective decision-making.

Expansion into Stanton and Beyond

United DAO’s early operations began in the Stanton system, where the rise of powerful megacorporations like Hurston Dynamics and ArcCorp created a highly competitive environment. While many sought to align with these corporate giants, United DAO chose a different path. By using their decentralized governance model, they maintained independence from corporate control, focusing on mining and exploration missions that spanned from Hurston’s mineral-rich moons to the gas giant Crusader’s outer orbits.

Their reputation grew as they began to explore the outer reaches of MicroTech, establishing outposts on remote icy moons and discovering new resource veins that many corporations overlooked. Through their commitment to collective resource management, United DAO ensured that all members benefitted from these discoveries, allowing the organization to grow rapidly in both influence and capability.

The Pyro Initiative

The true test of United DAO came with the exploration of the Pyro system, a lawless and dangerous region filled with untapped potential. Many saw Pyro as a graveyard for unprepared explorers, but United DAO saw opportunity. With their decentralized leadership and focus on teamwork, they were able to organize safe, efficient missions into the system’s most volatile areas, extracting rare minerals and establishing footholds in a region long considered the wild frontier.

Guiding Principles and Rules of Conduct

As a member of United DAO, you are part of a collective that values exploration, resource management, and decentralized governance. To maintain the strength and unity of our organization, all members must adhere to the following principles and rules.

1. Decentralized Decision-Making

Every voice matters: United DAO operates as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). All members are encouraged to participate in decision-making processes, whether it be through voting on proposals, contributing to strategic discussions, or leading initiatives.

Majority rules: When a vote is held, all members shall respect the outcome, understanding that the democratic process is at the core of our governance.

2. Commitment to Exploration

Active participation: All members are expected to contribute regularly to our exploration and resource management efforts. Whether it’s through scouting new systems, mining resources, or supporting mission operations, active involvement ensures the success of our collective.

Resource sharing: Any resources gathered during operations are to be shared and distributed fairly among members according to the organization’s guidelines and decisions made through the DAO.

3. Integrity and Respect

Respect your fellow members: Treat all members of United DAO with dignity, respect, and fairness. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of toxic behavior will not be tolerated.

Honor our allies: In dealings with other organizations or factions, members are expected to uphold the reputation of United DAO. We value diplomacy and cooperation where appropriate and stand by our allies in times of need.

4. Collaboration Over Competition

Teamwork is key: United DAO thrives on collaboration. Members are expected to work together in all operations, sharing knowledge, resources, and strategies to ensure collective success.

No self-serving actions: The organization’s goals take priority over individual gain. Personal ambitions should align with the broader objectives of United DAO.

5. Accountability and Responsibility

Lead by example: Higher-ranking members and leaders, including Councilors, Strategists, and Overseers, must exemplify the values of the organization. They are responsible for mentoring newer members and guiding operational decisions.

Take responsibility for your actions: Mistakes happen, but members are expected to take ownership of their actions and work to improve. If a decision or action harms the organization, steps must be taken to rectify it.

6. Activity and Involvement

Stay engaged: Members who are inactive for prolonged periods without prior notice or explanation may be removed from the organization to ensure active participation. Regular contributions, whether through missions, governance, or community support, are expected.

Communication is key: Keep an open line of communication with your fellow members. Participate in discussions, updates, and proposals to stay connected and informed.

7. Strategic Unity

Follow organizational decisions: When strategic decisions are made by the DAO, members are expected to follow them to ensure cohesion. Rogue actions that go against the established goals and strategies of United DAO are not permitted.

Adapt and overcome: Space is unpredictable, and so are our missions. Members should be flexible and ready to adapt to new challenges, supporting each other in times of uncertainty.

8. Protect the DAO

Guard our resources: Members are entrusted with resources and responsibilities. Any misuse, hoarding, or unauthorized allocation of organizational assets will not be tolerated.

Defend United DAO: In times of conflict or threat, all members are expected to rally to protect the organization and its interests.

9. Respect for the DAO’s Reputation

Represent United DAO with pride: In all public and in-game interactions, members must act with integrity, ensuring the good reputation of the organization. Actions that damage the reputation of United DAO may result in disciplinary action.

Violation of Charter

Members who fail to uphold the principles of this charter may face disciplinary action, including demotion, removal from missions, or expulsion from United DAO. Decisions regarding disciplinary actions will be made through the DAO’s governance process.
