History
The 86th
Average men. Uncommon resolve.
No one remembers who first carved the number into the hull just that it was scorched deep and clean.
“86” no crest, no flag, no explanation.
And yet, wherever the smoke settled, that number remained.
We weren’t born legends. We weren’t born killers.
We were warehouse haulers, loaders, drop shuttle techs.
Men the galaxy forgot until it made the mistake of pushing too far.

Orders handed down like death sentences, all to save a few credits or protect a corporations name.

And when the smoke cleared, we didn’t run we formed.

But we have rules:
No burning villages. No killing for sport. No crossing the common folk just trying to make it to the next sunrise.

We do not kill civilians, medics, or unarmed non-combatants.
If your target has no weapon, you don’t raise yours.

We take contracts we don’t sell souls.
If a job crosses the line, we walk. No payout justifies dishonor.

You leave no teammate behind.
You finish what you start. Or you die trying.

We serve no throne, no ideology, no agenda.

Organizational Charter of The 86th
I. Name & Identity
We are The 86th.
An independent contract organization formed of individuals hardened by experience, sharpened by conflict, and bound by code.
Our number holds meaning only to those within. To the rest, it is a warning.
II. Purpose & Function
The 86th exists to:
- Execute high-risk, high-value operations across the known systems.
- Accept contracts from any client, provided terms do not violate our code.
- Maintain our reputation as a force of skill, resolve, and feared presence in combat.
- Operate without allegiance to governments, corporations, or political factions.
III. Code of Conduct
Members of The 86th swear by the following code:
1. We take the job but never betray the people. We do not target civilians, refugees, medics, or unarmed non-combatants.
2. We finish what we start. Abandonment of mission or team is unacceptable, save for acts of higher honor.
3. We do not kneel. No ruler, flag, or ideology supersedes our internal code. We choose loyalty, not obedience.
4. We deal in fire but keep it clean. Collateral damage is minimized. Fear is a weapon, not a side effect.
5. We remember the dirt we rose from. Arrogance is a liability. Respect is earned, not taken.
IV. Leadership & Decision-Making
The 86th is governed by a Command Circle, comprised of senior operatives known only by code designations.
All major decisions — contract acceptance, discipline, expansion — must pass through a majority vote of the Circle.
V. Recruitment Protocol
Joining the 86th is not a right it is a trial.
Applicants are subjected to physical, mental, and moral tests.
We seek those with grit, skill, and fire — not those chasing fame.
No second chances. No exceptions.
If you bleed with us, you wear the mark.
