Perihelion began as a small collective of explorers determined to chart unknown and unexplored systems throughout the verse. The collective, named after the founder’s Carrack ‘The Perihelion’, soon found difficulty on their maiden voyage when passing through the Stanton System. Shortly after the collective arrived they were informed all of the Stanton system Jump Points were nonfunctional and wouldn’t be for years. During this time the collective fragmented, leaving only the founder and his ship.

Throughout the first year of working in the Stanton System, Perihelion reformed as a pair of Shipmen traveling from planet to planet exchanging goods and services. The pair gained a reputation for always completing contracts to the letter as well as working a variety of jobs in large number.
Due to this growing renaissance man perception, Perihelion embraced the idea wholly. Taking inspiration from the Banu, moving between systems offering goods and services to all they meet. We strive to move between stars and offer the finest goods and highest quality service in the verse.

Perihelion Since
As Perihelion grows, the goods and services offered are only increasingly diversified. This great benefit comes with the caveat of specialization. To identify our Shipmen’s specializations, Perihelion introduced Flotilla designations. Each Flotilla has autonomy in most of its operations and is expected to come to the aid of other Flotillas, attend events, and join the fleet for large-scale operations. This system has given our Shipmen the ability to pursue their choice in opportunities with the knowledge they have a Fleet behind them.

Manifesto

Perihelion was established with the goal of building and maintaining a successful planetary colony where all Shipmen will be welcome and protected under the Perihelion Accord. To achieve this goal we strive to unite a community of Citizens who believe in the unassailable rights within the Perihelion Accord, Citizens who want the ability to earn a profit with the backing of an Organization, and Citizens who want a social space of like-minded individuals working towards similar goals.

Current State of Perihelion
Perihelion is planned to be further fleshed out and specialized as Star Citizen continues to grow and new mechanics, economic opportunities, etc are added to the verse. Until the full release of Star Citizen all of Perihelion’s branding, settings, roles, and ranks may be subject to change. Furthermore, Perihelion is to remain unaffiliated from all other organizations until the full release of Star Citizen. This is to maintain the sovereignty and reputation of Perihelion.

Charter

Maintain Perihelion Respect
Treat all citizens, and Shipmen alike with the respect they deserve. All citizens should be treated as potential clients or potential Shipmen. Keep our communication channels friendly, Shipmen are all with Perihelion to pursue similar goals.

Life Outweighs All
Under any circumstance, communicate to an Officer or the Fleet Admiral that you are taking a step back for any period and your rank will be filed. If any ranks are edited en-masse, you will maintain your rank. Life always comes first.

The Perihelion Accord

This collective of Perihelion formed to protect and facilitate it’s Shipmens success, will forever guard these unassailable rights which belong to all sentient life within the universe

  3. The right to explore
  4. The right to own firearms
  5. The right to own property
  6. The right to defend one’s property
  7. The right to necessary medical care
  8. The right to pursue economic opportunity
  9. The right to join a Clan
  10. The right to join a Flotilla

With these rights at our core, all beings should be treated fairly and should be approached with the opportunity for business firmly in mind. All Shipmen should be respected and spoken to kindly regardless of rank within Perihelion. Poor treatment of fellow Shipmen will not be tolerated.
