*The Onyx Initiative began as a covert task force comprised of decorated veterans, special operations personnel, and operatives from classified “wet work” units. Bound by a shared ethos of precision, discipline, and results, these specialists transitioned from black-budget missions to high-value private contracts in the Stanton and Pyro systems.

Initially operating under UEE oversight, Onyx Initiative quickly proved too efficient—and too independent—for political comfort. The group severed official ties, re-emerging as a self-sustaining Private Military Corporation. Today, they blend military doctrine with corporate pragmatism, running assigned-crew capital ships, executing multi-million UEC operations via the UEX network, and maintaining a reputation as one of the verse’s most capable, discreet, and lethal forces for hire.*
