Windows: How to stop windows from slowing down SC and your programs. ( Use This At Your Own Risk, I run or tried most of what here.! )
If your an OP Person you will love all this.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only do this with 16 GB+ of memory or more. ( you really need 64GB for SC )
How to turn off RAM/Memory compression USE: Right Click Mouse on Windows Icon /Click on Windows PowerShell (Admin) type or copy “ Disable-MMAgent -mc “ (return) don’t copy the quotes marks.! NOTE: this works with AMD or Nivida Cards…! (this will work with Intel Processors also) Remember to reboot after doing this…!
Note: if you have 64GB of RAM in most cases you can turn off Win PAGEFILE also. (This part will work with Intel Processors also).
Ram Speed:
Yes faster ram does help.! But by pushing the CPU RAM up in speed it can overheat the CPU so you need to find the happy spot in speed and heat of the CPU. With my RAM Memory 64GB and a 16 Core CPU that sweet spot was (3333) speed. On my 8 core CPU the Ram Speed (3400) pushed the heat on the processor very high and I had to cut back the speed. If you push it to hard it will crash or slow down the processor. Heat is the enemy of the Processor.
MB Bios:
Make sure your Mother Board PCIE-subSYSTEM “4G” is turned on. Make sure your BIOS has it. This is used to extend your Video Card memory to run past the 4GB limit of old Vcards. If it is turned off your Vcard is limited to 4GB of memory used in old windows 32 bit stuff.
MB Bios: —- for AM4 CPUs
Motherboard – “10bit Tag Support” will increase your GPU speed by 1-3 % if turned on. Auto Mode = OFF; This will not work with old M.2 drives. The hardware needs to be Gen 4 or 5 / Amazing Graphics Speed with this turned ON, (10bit tag is not for color, it is for bandwidth speed it allows your CPU to do better I/O to other devices, they say it give your the full bandwidth of the CPU buss).
If your running a 10 bit monitor in 10 bit mode Vcard it helps with speed. This is a must do for Nvidia GEN4 cards. (Note: You can not use some LINUX OS apps with this, although I have not had any problems in Linux yet.) This does work with GEN5 but does not seem to be in the 7000/9000 bios. This should also work for AMD Gen 4 Video Cards. You will love SC in 10bit color….!
MB Bios Path: (not for intel board) for 3000 / 5000 AMD Mother boards
you can find this in MB: / advanced / amdcbs / nbio / 10bit —— DDR5 may not have 10bit Tag in the bios but it does use it. This was for DDR4 and AMD AM4 Processors. With out this turned on you are not running at full bandwidth of the CPU.
MB Bios:
C State: Global C-State in MB can be turned off and it will increase your FPS another 2 to 3 FPS on top of what the other stuff gives you.
Nvidia Driver / AMD Driver:
Micro Shuttering is caused by shaded cache in the Nvidia driver – Turn it off. Always run Fast Sync in the driver. AMD driver has the equivalent setting also. Vcard graphics for shader in most cases is faster than your standard SATA I/O speed. Only a “m.2 SSD” might be faster than a Vcard shader cache I/O. Micro Jerking is cause by the I/O delay to the SSD shader cache on your SSD. This can not be turned off in a AMD Vcard, but it can still cause jerking. High speed SSD’s do give you better gaming with shader cache.
I also suggest you run the Nvidia Studio Drivers not the gaming drivers for SC.
Shader Cache:
You need a very high speed m.2 drive for shader cache to work good. Samsung 990 / or GEN 5 drive or faster to stop jerking in doing I/O on textures and colors. Shader Cache is stored on the windows main drive. An SATA drive is way to slow for running shader cache, the Vcard is faster than a SATA Drive is.
This is some Shader Cache: Magic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8PmyUs6zFM
Window 10/11 always uses compression unless you turn it off. Window ONLY allows 1 thread to do compression/decompression no matter how many cores you have. This is why it is a major bottleneck in most games. Windows compression is what kills most games. Windows in uncompressed mode can take up to 40GB of memory if everything in windows is running. Most people in SC now use 20 GB of memory for Windows 11 and 20GB more to runs SC for a total of 40GB this can very depending on the system you use and current game version running. 64 GB RAM is a must to have good smooth play.
Memory:
Remember Memory must be matched in timing. You can’t mix memory types or speeds. You need to get a matched set from the factory.
How to change your Win 10/11 Compression:
Both have a lot of information about memory compression. Why it’s bad.!!!
**** “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmcm7XTl6AY” …. Turn off the RAM Compression.
**** “https://aloiskraus.wordpress.com/2016/10/03/windows-10-memory-compression-and-more/” (how compression works in software)
**** Remember that no matter how many cores you have in your CPU Processor windows compression only uses 1 thread to compress and decompress files. Compression does not use multi-cores for this process it only uses 1 thread of a single processor, no matter how many cores you have running.
Enjoy… 2x faster with RAM Compression turned OFF.
Fiber Modems:
x2 More Data Throughput / Super Fast ( most fiber users have this ) it’s just not turned on. !!!!!!!!!!
I use the following link: ( https://youtu.be/syOG80Z8eoo ) This uses server farm compression. It only works if you have a fiber modem that has a 10GB port on it. All 10GB fiber modems use hardware compression to reach 10GB/s, this is hardware compression in the fiber modem, it is only used if you have the windows server farm compression turned on. Thanks to my ATT guy spilling the beans that you have to use software in your PC to make it work. This compression is not the standard stuff in windows it is a special compression only used for high speed data. And it still works on the 1GBS port also. I highly suggest you have a 16 Core processor to use this. It opens up a boat load of subroutines running in the background. I have been running this for some time now with no troubles at all. It just about doubles your data throughput.

Heat Sinks: BIG Heatsinks for SC — Why you need them.
Heat Sinks that come with 6 and 8 Core processors are just not big enough to support the amount of heat that SC causes when playing. You need a over sized “really big” Gaming Heatsink on your processor. To keep the processor cool and keep it in boost mode to keep the speed up. Using a { https://www.thermal-grizzly.com/en/kryosheet/s-tg-ks-24-12 } graphene pad. SC will dry out your thermal paste very fast. It can happen in less than 3 months. Users under estimate how hot your CPU gets playing SC. Video Cards have the same problem. Don’t expect your GPU thermal paste to last more than a year and work good. Again replace thermal paste with a graphene pad. ( older video cards, can have external heat sensors that don’t work right when the thermal paste goes bad). If you have flickers in the screen it could be the GPU is overheating. Make sure your case fans are working good. Clean out your screens in the case every 3 months.
Most of Nvidia GTX cards have external sensors. only the 80s and 90s have internal sensors.
Star Citizen is a very demanding game its is the equivalent of running cinebench testing software all day.
Some info for building a system:
You would think jumping from gen 4 to gen 5 would make SC play better that is not really the case. What counts with SC is total CPU cores and GPU cores You need a system min CPU 8 cores or more and GPU 5000 or more for good smooth graphics. Windows is an issue if you are looking to get rid of jerking in SC you need to run SC in non-compressed mode in windows. That requires 64GB of memory. Windows uncompress is 20GB and SC is around another 20GB uncompressed that totals 40GB with no pagefile used. Then you get very smooth graphics. The gen 4 you can do for half the price of gen 5. 5000X / 7000x / 9000x are all good processors more than capable to run SC. The rtx5060ti did not get good reviews. AMD would be a better choice at this time. The new AMD stuff is coming out soon. Prices will drop on the older parts. SC game engine can handle 12 core processors. If you plan to upgrade your monitor to 4K you need a 16GB video card. AMD is coming out soon with a high end video card. The X3D cpu do help with running SC they are a little faster. If you were looking to run a 4K 144-240 FPS+ monitor then GEN5 would help because of the speed to the video card.
Monitors / HDMI Cables:
******* Do not use old HDMI cable for new monitors.
This is an issue most people never check.!!!!! 2K / 4K monitors need to be using a 8K / 48GB/s cable. Cables that do not meet this spec can cause the picture to look muddy and off color. You need to buy a known CERTIFIED cable. Anything longer than 10 feet of cable is just a lie about being certified. They should be big thick and heavy to meet the certified spec. MAYA™ Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable
Monitor 8bit / 10bit / 12bit
Most games use 8bit mode but with Nvidia Cards you can force it to run 10bit mode even if it is a 8bit program. This take more time to render but gives you great colors and uses more of your VRAM in the video card. If speed is the problem you need to stay in 8bit mode.
12bit is for people that design graphics it uses a lot of Vram this is no good for gaming.
HD mode from windows: HD is a compression data format that your monitor has to decompress to post the picture and colors. It is worthless for FPS gaming it generates lag.
SSD / M.2 GEN5 on a GEN4 Port
GEN-5 vs GEN-4: Speed Hack for Jerking ( Textures storing in shader cache / and some of SC magic )
As a side note: You could put a Gen-5 m.2 into your pc it would help with the jerking in SC ( textures ) because the write speeds are so much faster in gen5 it would have to be the C drive for it to work with the operating system. The read speeds it might help a little. I know your port is a gen4 drive, but the write speeds makes a big difference in the game with micro jerks, it just allows you the max gen4 speed for writes this way. Some of this depends on the controller and how it is clocked. But the high speed GEN5 drives should work. They have separate timing clocks vs memory on the SSD, Most games don’t give a damn about i/o speed, but not SC. I/O speed counts in SC play. By running a gen5 on a gen4 port you get the max i/o both read and write and your m.2 stays much cooler, so you can write longer before it heats up. From a technical point of view the controller in Gen 5 can handle 2x the amount that Gen 4 can, this lower your bottleneck time.
Drivers:
I suggest your watch YouTube Videos on how to use these drivers for your system, to speed up your CPU.!! And don’t do this with a stock heatsink that came with the processor. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html
Look up your CPU type for the driver ( AMD Ryzen Master ) You want a monster heatsink for this. Big fans / monster fins screaming noisy fans with high air flow. 6 to 8+ heat wick tubes to the fins.!! Stay away from water cooling if you don’t want to maintain the water system and keep it working.
Look up the CHIPSET for your MB for the drivers also… keep them up to date they change all the time.

Cat 8 Cables:
Why you should use them. Yes your Cat 6A works just fine until your neighbor turns on the vacuum cleaner or disk washer or saber saw or microwave and then you have errors in you data. Why because the EMI from the motors and electric lines cause current loops in your house. Noise that can travel up your internet cables and corrupt your data. Good Cat 8 cables have extra shielding around them stopping this external noise from getting into you data. Make sure your Cat 8 Cable has the double shield type cable. Don’t use the flat stuff…! Pay the extra for the double shield. And it always happens when you playing that great game and when the wife is using the microwave and sweeping the floor. As she frowns at you for playing. !!
Note: AT&T Modem cables are crap always change them out for good Cat 8 cables. If you have a RoKu that connects to the router use a Cat 8 cable to the router they generate a lot of noise also.
And, above all NEVER EVER run SC on a laptop. It’s just a waste of time. (my opinion)
Enjoy.
Remember to give the wife flowers… then your a good husband…! And you can play without frowns.
Cooking a dinner on the weekends helps also.
Enjoy…
Law Offices recommend all transaction use the 50 / 20 rule. Explained as Follows.!
Original Price from UEE = 100%
Seller to Buyer gets 1/2 or 50% of UEE original price.
Buyer that sells to a UEE customer gets 20% more of the 50% price he paid for the item to make a profit but never exceeds UEE original price.
This 50/20 rule is the guide lines for common sales in most transactions.
Once there is a dispute the UEE Law Office gets a cut also depending on value and time spent resolving the issue.
Law is expensive in all cases. Yes, we are reasonable.
How this works is if you don’t trust the guy you are dealing with then we hold your money until the deal is done. If the deal falls through then you get back all your money. Both gamer’s have to agree on the deal and the transactions. If ether gamer is unsatisfied with the deal negotiations start until the property is delivered. The Law office at the point of delivery being done gets it cut only then..
