In the boundless cosmic night, under the light of distant suns, Classis Astra (Latin for “Fleet of Stars”) stands as a disciplined brotherhood of warrior-pilots forged in honor and united by a sacred oath. Founded by veteran starfighters who saw the chaos of lawless mercenaries, this private military company chose a higher path. They blended the rigorous order of ancient Terran legions with cutting-edge starfleet tactics, creating a legitimate space navy that answers to no empire.

Led not by a single admiral but by a council, Classis Astra’s leadership is a fraternity of seasoned captains each bearing equal voice. This High Council – a modern echo of an ancient Senate – guides the fleet by consensus, ensuring wisdom and unity in every decision. All members, from the newest recruit to the elder strategist, are bound by honor, loyalty, and duty. Their customs form a code of principles as old as war itself: never betray an oath, value each comrade as a brother, and serve with discipline and valor.

Classis Astra specializes in the arts of war among the stars. From safeguarding merchant convoys against pirate ambushes to spearheading lightning raids on hostile strongholds, the fleet’s squadrons bring order to lawless skies. In battle they are relentless – elite pilots and marines whose resolve is as unyielding as their shield formations of old. Once a contract is sworn, they fight until victory or honorable conclusion. This principled approach has earned Classis Astra a reputation across the galaxy: a fleet-for-hire that honors every contract to the end, where integrity shines as brightly as the stars they vow to protect.

We of Classis Astra swear by these guiding tenets:

Honor Bound to the End: We uphold every contract with unwavering fidelity. Once our word is given, we carry it through to fulfillment – no retreat, no surrender until duty is done.

I. Lex Aeterna (The Eternal Law)

The Legion is eternal; the individual is fleeting. No brother shall place his will above the Order.

II. Lex Honoris (The Law of Honor)

Within the Order, deceit and treachery are death. Loyalty is iron, and honor is the only coin.

III. Lex Ferrum (The Law of Iron)

Strength is virtue. To falter in battle is shame; to rise again is duty. Weakness is not forgiven, only purged.

IV. Lex Umbrae (The Law of Shadow)

To enemies, we are merciless. Mercy is weakness, weakness is death. Our wrath shall be feared as the eclipse of suns.

V. Lex Imperii (The Law of Command)
