Maple First Response Medical / MAPLEMED

Formed on Earth in the early 26th century, Maple First Response started as a non-governmental organization with the intent to provide better emergency medical care to the burgeoning colonies. The small size of some of the more remote colonies on newly inhabited planets made it economically difficult to obtain high quality care at all but the largest central colonies. By forming a unified cooperative that pooled resources, Maple First Response was able to draw on volume discounts and economies of scale to rapidly become a common sight on the frontier.

These days Maple First Response is not the largest emergency medical service but it is a well-equipped professional one that performs countless rescues and SAR duties on a daily basis.
