Although we are one of the oldest organizations around, our decision to switch from exclusive to public took us seven years. The new plan is to curate a small to medium amount of likeminded people to connect with.

The Way Forward

There are no strict plans for our future playstyle within the persistent universe. Although we will be mostly found peacefully gathering resources and transporting them or mowing down those who try to take them from us, there is no point in restricting us to only performing our specialties.

Races are fun, building bases is too and getting the most out of this open sandbox is our one and only goal.

Hierarchy in Video Games

We don’t believe in running a ficticious company for the purpose of continuing the bullshit we encounter at our jobs daily. Assigning power to individuals will result in less efficient gameplay and unhappy ‘subordinates’.

To avoid this, there is no hierarchy in our organization. If you want to lead a group of Lightman Group members, make sure to plan events, be nice to be around and people will eventually gravitate towards you.

Fun & Structure

There will be situations that call for coordinators, like competetively racing around canyons, manning multi-crew ships or achieving maximum efficiency when running industrial tasks.

The general consensus is: whoever planned the event or excursion gets to call the shots, so make sure to take into account what the group wants. This way you will likely be the one to do so in the future, as well.

Don’t Attack on Sight

Whether on the ground, in space or in between. Unless the target is a wanted criminal, make sure to avoid unneccessary confrontation.

Play Nice

Nobody likes to spend their precious free time with grumpy people. Stay positive or stay away, please.

Roleplaying

It’s allowed, but not necessary to roleplay in this organizsation. We believe that immersion will foster an environment that encourages it, but if none of you feel it that day, there is no need to force it.

Multi-Organizational

There is absolutely no problem with being a part of other organizations in parallel, but we do weed out our members list every now and then, just to make it easier to find active players to connect with.
