Founding History

Originally sanctioned by the UEE High Command in 2821 as the Order of Saint Icarion, INFOD was conceived as a militant religious order tasked with defending the empire’s borders and keeping alien incursions at bay during the chaotic years following the Messer Era. For decades, they fought tirelessly against Vanduul raiders and Xi’an infiltration rings, gaining a reputation for unwavering faith and martial discipline.

But victory bred zealotry. As generations passed, the Order’s leaders claimed divine visions, declaring themselves the Sword of Humanity chosen to purge the galaxy of alien corruption. Their ideology grew harsher: any alien presence in UEE space was heresy, and those who defended them were worse than the xenos themselves.

The Red Crusade (2937)

Tensions exploded when the UEE signed a landmark peace treaty with the Xi’an. INFOD’s Grand Inquisitor, Malachai Draven, denounced the government as traitors to humanity. Under his command, the Order launched the Red Crusade:

Alien settlements were burned.

Human corporations trading with the Xi’an were attacked as collaborators.

UEE Navy patrols sent to stop them were annihilated in holy fury.

By 2940, INFOD had been officially excommunicated, branded heretics and terrorists. They fled to the outlaw systems, turning to piracy and privateering to fund their eternal crusade.

I. Our Creed

We are Infinitus Odium — Boundless Wrath.
The Sword of Humanity, forged in fire and sanctified in blood.
We march not for wealth, nor fame, nor petty empires,
but for the Dominion of Man across all stars.

Aliens are the shadow that corrupts the frontier.
Sympathizers are the rot within the empire.
We shall burn them both away until the void shines clean once more.

II. Our Cause

The UEE has grown weak.
They speak of peace while xeno fleets sharpen their blades.
They call us heretics because we refuse surrender.
Let them call us what they will.

We are the Red Crusade —
the righteous flame that shall not be extinguished.

III. Our Law

  1. No Alien Shall Live — their presence in human space is blasphemy.
  2. No Traitor Shall Prosper — those who harbor them are as guilty as they.
  3. No Crusader Shall Falter — death in service is the highest sacrament.

IV. Our Promise

We will carve Dominion from the stars with holy fire.
We will raise our banners over the ruins of alien worlds.
We will forge a future where humanity bows only to its own destiny.

For the Empire that was promised.

Charter

Charter of Infinitus Odium

Ratified in Exile, 2937 – Outlaw Systems

We, the faithful of Infinitus Odium, heirs to the Holy Crusade, do solemnly declare this Charter as the foundation of our Dominion. Once bound to a corrupt empire, we have taken up arms against the alien scourge, the traitor within, and the false thrones of man. Guided by the divine will revealed through the Book of Dominion, we march forth under the Red Banner until the stars themselves bow before the Faith.

Article I: The Nature of the Order

Section 1. Name & Purpose
The name of this holy order shall be Infinitus Odium, “Boundless Wrath.” Our purpose:

  • To purge alien corruption from human space.
  • To eradicate all who betray mankind to xeno influence.
  • To conquer and sanctify the frontier for humanity’s dominion.

Section 2. Sacred Authority
All power within INFOD flows from the divine revelations of our founding prophet, Grand Inquisitor Malachai Draven, and the holy scripture known as the Book of Dominion.

Article II: Hierarchy & Offices

Supreme Authority

  • Grand Inquisitor – Spiritual and military leader, voice of the Faith.

High Command

  • Lord Inquisitors – Guardians of doctrine, judges of heresy.
  • Crusade Marshals – Commanders of fleets and ground forces.

Warrior Orders

  • Paladins – Elite knights, executors of the Red Crusade.
  • Zealots – Frontline warriors, enforcers of the Faith.
  • Acolytes – Initiates seeking redemption through service.

Article III: Code of Dominion

All crusaders shall live by the Three Pillars of Dominion:

  1. Faith – To believe without question in the destiny of mankind.
  2. Fury – To strike without mercy against alien and heretic alike.
  3. Fire – To cleanse without hesitation all that defies the Faith.

Violation of the Code is punishable by exile, penance, or death as decreed by the Lord Inquisitors.

Article IV: Conduct of War

Section 1. Sanctioned Targets

  • All alien life within human-claimed systems.
  • Human collaborators, traitors, and heretics.
  • UEE forces seeking to obstruct the Red Crusade.

Section 2. Methods of War
Raiding, blockade, planetary purges, and surgical strikes shall be employed in the name of the Faith. The use of alien technology is permitted only after sanctification by Lord Inquisitors.

Article V: Dominion & Governance

Conquered territories fall under the authority of the Grand Inquisitor. Civilian populations may submit to the Faith or be removed as heretics. Governance shall be administered by Paladins appointed as Wardens of Dominion until such worlds are fully cleansed and consecrated.

Article VI: Oath of the Crusader

All who join INFOD shall swear the following oath:

“I pledge my blade, my blood, and my soul to the Red Crusade. I shall know no fear, no mercy, no doubt until the Dominion of Man rises eternal. In darkness, I shall bring wrath. In wrath, I shall bring salvation.”

Article VII: Perpetuity of the Faith

The Red Crusade shall continue until all stars are cleansed, all aliens destroyed, and the Dominion of Man stands unchallenged across the galaxy.
