History
The honey badger, also known as the ratel, has a fossil evidence suggesting its presence dating back millions of years.
The modern species is thought to have evolved from earlier forms like Mellivora benfieldi.
Beyond its physical history, the honey badger is also steeped in cultural history, appearing in mythology and folklore, and more recently, gaining popularity through online videos and becoming a symbol of tenacity and fearlessness.
