Gambit Solutions was built by two veterans of the Vanduul campaign, wanting to escape the military life. Using retirement funds and investment from family and friends, they opened Gambit Solutions. They started with a simple Freelancer for their shipping needs and eventually grew into a shipping armada. It quickly grew from primarily shipping into mining and salvaging, using the resources gained from those ventures to fabricate their own ship parts and ships to keep costs low.
Now Gambit Solutions is a jack-of-all-trades in the world of production and industry. Shipping, Mining, and Salvaging are what the heads focus on today. We’re always looking for pilots for our trade and shipping routes, miners to grab those rocks and pilots to ship those minerals to fabrication facilities, and salvaging crew for our Vultures and Reclaimers. Of course, with the founders being military vets means we always welcome military pilots for security of our assets and employees.
Joining Gambit Solutions means you’re joining a family company and we treat everyone like family. Everyone is important to the business, from the Foremen to the Miner, we all need to work together in order to provide Solutions to our customers!
Gambit Solutions strives to be the very best in Shipping, Mining, and Salvaging so our production facilities can keep working. We aim to use the material from mining and shipping operations to build our own ship parts and ships so we can keep our costs low and pass the savings on to our customers. Of course we’ll take outside contracts for fabrication as well! We have a security force for our assets, but we won’t shy from some mercenary work as long as it does not mar the name of Gambit Solutions. We want to be able to help everyone who comes to use with their problems, regardless of their needs.
Gambit Solutions does have a couple of ground rules to follow, but not too many. We’re pretty laid back here.
1. Don’t cause drama – Most of our pilots are very snarky and sarcastic, but its because we’re a family! However, if you ever have an issue with someone please let them know ASAP! The last thing anyone wants is someone breaking down because they let an issue blow out and then the asteroid you’re mining explodes hilariously and caused the company 10,000 UEC worth of repair bills.
2. Don’t be a dick to other pilots – We may have a way we talk to each other, but try to be cordial with other pilots out there. We still want people to see Gambit Solutions as the #1 option in Shipping, Mining, and Salvaging and don’t want them turned off by how we handle contracts and negotiations. Feel free to talk how you want in the organization, just remember rule 1.
3. WE ARE NOT A PMC – We don’t mind pilots who work for us taking on mercenary work. Sometimes all the good trade routes are taken, we’re out of Moles and crew slots for mining and there just aren’t enough ships to salvage, go ahead and take some mercenary work. THAT IS NOT OUR FOCUS THOUGH WE WILL PRIORITIZE INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTS OVER MERCENARY CONTRACTS. Depending on the contract, we will always help out those with Shipping/Mining/Salvaging needs over Mercenaries. We have combat ready ships and some of our freighters can be converted into fighting ships, but that’s only if the contract ends up being too good to refuse.
OTHERWISE HAVE FUN! We’re not a serious company and we’re not going to run this like dictatorship. Everyone gets their hands dirty and are part of the line no matter what their title says.
As of writing we’re on patch 3.8. More rules may be added or current ones changed later as the game changes.
