The Nyx system, with its harsh environment and scarce resources, has long been a refuge for those on the fringes of the UEE’s reach. Levski, once a mining colony turned haven for anti-Messer activists, became a hotspot for disillusioned miners, outlaws, and industrial workers exploited by corporate interests.
Catalyst Event:
As Messer Consolidated Mining & Commerce tightened control over Nyx’s resources and crushed dissent with increasing brutality, small independent operations were forced into bankruptcy or absorbed by corporate forces. Many miners and industrial workers faced starvation, oppression, and violent crackdowns. Corruption and lawlessness grew, leaving locals caught between hostile corporations and ineffective UEE enforcement.
Founding of the Peoples Liberation Front:
In response, a coalition of former miners, industrial engineers, smugglers, and freedom fighters banded together in 2947 to form the Peoples Liberation Front. Their goal was simple but bold: reclaim autonomy over Nyx’s resources, protect their communities from corporate tyranny, and survive by their own rules.
Early Struggles:
The Front began as a loose network of outlaws and scavengers, conducting raids on Messer convoys, salvaging abandoned industrial sites, and defending Levski from corporate mercenaries. Their industrial know-how allowed them to repurpose scrap into weapons, ships, and defenses, turning the system’s ruins into a fortress.
Growth and Reputation:
Over time, the Peoples Liberation Front grew in strength and influence, becoming a symbol of resistance and survival. Their defiance inspired others across the outer rim to question corporate dominance and seek freedom in the void. Though branded as criminals by the UEE and Messer, the Front’s members see themselves as liberators and protectors of the common folk.
Current Status:
Now firmly entrenched in Nyx, the Peoples Liberation Front operates from hidden bases among the Glaciem Ring’s asteroid fields. They continue to fight for independence, balancing outlaw tactics with industrial ingenuity to endure the harsh frontier and carve out a future free from oppression.

Forged in the harsh environment of NYX and the Glaciem Ring, we reclaim what others discard, turning forgotten wrecks and abandoned mines into strongholds of independence.
Fueled by grit, loyalty, and defiance, we reject the corporate greed of Messer and the iron grip of the UEE.
Our members are masters of scavenging, crafting, and guerrilla tactics—operating from the shadows to protect our own and strike where it hurts.
