A nomadic syndicate of drifters, scavengers and smugglers who roam the edges of UEE space and the law. They’re not anarchists, not quite pirates but live in the void’s margins – exploiting loopholes, forgotten wrecks and opportunities others miss.
History
Nobody knows how The Drift Syndicate came about, at first it was words carried by the wind, then it was whispers among the populace and now rumours overheard at the station bar. What we do know is this;
To the average UEE citizen they are rumored as ghost haulers – sometimes seen pulling derelicts, sometimes vanishing before patrols. Most think they’re just stories told by haulers.
The law enforcement sees them as a persistent nuisance – too slippery to pin down, always one jump ahead, never staying long enough to be cornered.
Outlaws and pirates respect them as professionals. They don’t start wars, but they’ll trade, salvage or smuggle with anyone if the deal is right.
Explorers and nomads see them as kindred spirits – but more organized, more dangerous and less idealistic.
Manifesto

The Drift Syndicate is a nomadic collective of salvagers, smugglers, explorers, and opportunists who thrive on the fringes of UEE space. Neither bound by law nor wholly lawless, we are a caravan that moves where fortune takes us — scavenging the forgotten, reclaiming the abandoned, and carving profit from the shadows between jump points.
We are not pirates. We are not mercenaries. We are drifters — united by necessity, loyalty, and the belief that survival is earned by those willing to take what others overlook.
What We Do
- Salvage & Reclamation – Wrecks, derelicts, and battlefields are our hunting grounds.
- Smuggling & Trade – From contraband to cargo, we move what others can’t.
- Exploration – Hidden routes, lost stations, and uncharted systems are ours to uncover.
- Opportunism – If the void presents a chance, The Drift takes it.
