“Whoever lays his hand on me to govern me is a usurper and tyrant, and I declare him my enemy.”

History

“We have no history but the one we make today.”

Black Star started as a casual group of laid-back friends and random net citizens we’ve picked up along the way. Our ORG members are calm and pragmatic adults that love to game and share that with others. Comradery, laughter, respect. We come from all walks of life, have different levels of ability and capacity to dedicate to our games. The best days are when we get nothing done but laugh the entire time.

Manifesto

We are the Black Star Collective, an association of like-minded individuals banding together for mutual aid and shared goals as needed and when needed. We have no alliances, profess no allegiances, and follow no specific leader. We recognize no laws, no nations, nor any other higher authority than our own as individuals. We are the truly free men and women out in the black.

Open to new players who need a hand to learn the ropes, or grizzled vets who just want a place to call home and not have someone telling them what to do. Join us as your main, or as an affiliate, it doesn’t matter – just have fun.

Ultimately, this group is what you make of it and you get out what you put in. Want to do piracy and fly the black to make your fortune? Maybe you want to smuggle goods past the illegitimate authorities of the verse. Perhaps you want to crack asteroids as a rock jockey or salvage ships as a black finger. Maybe you even don’t want to be a notorious pirate, but the bounty hunter who catches them. Whatever your dreams may be, you’re free to pursue them here. Find other members of the collective who enjoy those activities, band up, and have a great time living that dream.

Charter

CORE TENNANTS

“A member of Black Star will train to be capable of helping themselves and being self-sufficient.”
Only when we are strong as an individual, might we be capable of helping others.

“A member of Black Star shall not harm another of the Collective, nor help another to harm our Collective.”
We may compete against each other’s interests, but we shall not raise a fist against them.

“A member of Black Star shall not help support or prop up institutions of illegitimate power.”
We recognize that power structures can provide stability, but rarely justice, and so we aim to help those disenfranchised by those systems which we fight against.

“A member of Black Star will voice their concerns with the Collective should conflict arise.”
Only through dialogue and collective action with common purpose may we all succeed.

“ A member of Black Star is a good citizen and will treat all within the Collective, and those outside, with the dignity and respect they in turn would want themselves.”
Follow the Golden Rule and be a decent person.
