In the on going Vanduul Conflict as the UEE grappled with stretched resources and a growing wave of insurgencies across its outer rim, Blaise’s Blackguard was born—not from grand design, but from urgent necessity. Founded in 2949 by a cadre of battle-hardened UEE veterans and former Advocacy field agents disillusioned with bureaucratic inertia, the Blackguard operated in the lawless interstices of civilized space. Their earliest contracts were taken in forgotten border systems where the UEE’s reach thinned and the shadow of piracy and political unrest grew long.
Legends tell of their first assignment: a desperate convoy trapped in the Siren’s Loop, a notorious cluster of asteroid fields and pirate havens near the Vanduul front. With no support from the overstretched navy, Blaise’s Blackguard cut through the ambush, earning their first whispers of infamy in the underworld and the official channels alike.
Forged in the crucible of silent wars and unacknowledged skirmishes, the Blackguard became synonymous with ruthlessness tempered by honor—a mercenary guild shaped by old-world principles reminiscent of the pre-UEE defense guilds of Terra. These guilds, disbanded decades prior, had thrived on strict codes of contract fidelity and combat professionalism, eschewing politics and corruption. Blaise’s Blackguard resurrected this ethos, carving a niche where cold efficiency met uncompromising integrity.
By 2955, the Blackguard’s discreet but effective operations had become too significant to ignore. The Guild of Freelance Security Professionals extended an olive branch, bringing Blaise’s Blackguard into official recognition. This marked their formal transition from shadow operatives to licensed contractors. Unlike the sprawling corporate security conglomerates that favored profit and politics, Blaise’s Blackguard preserved its core creed, embracing an austere identity that honored tradition over trend.
Their official insignia—an obsidian gauntlet clutching a burning star—became a symbol whispered in the halls of power and the darker corners of taverns alike. The Blackguard’s rise coincided with the resurgence of system-level conflicts and covert corporate wars, where their services became indispensable.
Now, Blaise’s Blackguard exists as a spectral force threading through the volatile fringes of UEE space and beyond. Their mobile command hubs—retrofits of old Idris corvettes and stealth-modified Hammerheads—drift like phantoms between sectors roiling with insurgency, corporate sabotage, and pirate coalitions. Operating with surgical precision, they handle jobs that demand discretion and an iron resolve.
Though officially neutral, their shadow looms large over the politics of the fringe. Megacorps, planetary governors, and clandestine UEE factions all weigh their options, knowing the Blackguard’s involvement often signals that diplomacy has failed and a decisive endgame is underway. Rumors circulate of secret contracts with dissident systems and whispered alliances with renegade mercenaries, suggesting that Blaise’s Blackguard plays a deeper game—one that may yet redefine power in the shadows of human space.

“We are not heroes. We are not villains. We are the line between order and chaos.”
We are Blaise’s Blackguard—a professional security unit forged from conflict, built on purpose, and bound by contract. We do not serve flags. We do not chase glory. We answer only to the contract and the code.
Where systems fail, where laws stall, and where danger festers in the dark, we deploy. Not with hesitation. Not with bravado. But with lethality, precision, and accountability.
The Blackguard operates under a doctrine of lethality, precision, and accountability:
Lethality: Engagements are decisive, overwhelming, and executed with the clear intent to neutralize threats before escalation
Precision: Every deployment is mission-tailored, intelligence-driven, and carried out with attention to limiting collateral exposure
Accountability: All operations are logged under GFSP protocol, with contract obligations strictly enforced and post-op debriefs conducted for audit transparency
This threefold doctrine allows Blaise’s Blackguard to function with the efficiency of a military unit and the flexibility of an independent contractor—free from political inertia but bound by professional integrity.
We honor the contract, above all.
We do not accept contracts that compromise our operational integrity or target non-combatants.
We do not work for slavers or parties seeking indiscriminate destruction.
We operate with discipline, restraint, and total mission focus.
When you call the Blackguard, know what you’re asking for.
We are not here to try.
We are here to finish what others could not.

The unit shall be known as Blaise’s Blackguard, hereafter referred to as “the Blackguard,” operating as an independent, Guild-certified tactical security organization under full license from the Guild of Freelance Security Professionals (GFSP) as of the standard year 2955.
Blaise’s Blackguard exists to provide contract-bound, mission-driven security solutions in volatile, high-risk, or strategically sensitive environments. We execute with lethality, precision, and accountability—serving clients with unwavering efficiency while upholding the Guild’s ethical code and our own professional integrity.
Blaise’s Blackguard is divided into two primary operational arms: the Blackguard Combat Fleet (BCF) and the Blackguard Support Fleet (BSF). Each is composed of specialized sub-units designed to ensure full-spectrum operational capability across spaceborne, planetary, and logistical theaters.
“When the chaos arrives, this is the point of contact.”
The Combat Fleet comprises the Blackguard’s offensive and tactical deployment elements, operating under rapid-response protocols across multi-environment combat zones. It is responsible for all kinetic engagements, airspace dominance, and shipborne warfare.
Sub-Units of the BCF:
Marine Assault Unit (MAU):
Specializes in ground-side combat, ship and station boarding, close-quarters battle (CQB), and EVA operations. Trained for hostile environmental insertions and full-scale planetary assaults.
Assault Support Wing (ASW): Responsible for troop and asset transport via dropships and multi-role delivery platforms. Supports planetary deployment, tactical extraction, and forward staging operations.
Combat Air Wing (CAW): Composed of fighter and bomber pilots. Provides air superiority, strike support, and interdiction using craft ranging from light interceptors to multi-crew heavy bombers.
Astro-Amphibious Readiness Group (AARG): Operates and maintains the fleet’s large combat-capable vessels. Provides orbital fire support, blockade enforcement, and planetary assault platforms. Includes all capital ship personnel required to sustain long-term combat operations.
“No fleet fights alone. No mission stands unsupported.”
The Support Fleet is tasked with maintaining operational readiness across all theaters. It ensures that the Combat Fleet receives the resources, infrastructure, and medical support necessary for success—before, during, and after mission execution.
Sub-Units of the BSF:
Industrial/Mechanical Wing (IMW):
Conducts industrial operations including resource extraction, refinement, and fleet maintenance. Ensures critical systems remain mission-capable and self-sustaining during prolonged deployments.
Supply Wing (SW): The logistical core of the organization. Delivers weapons, munitions, armor, supplies, and mission-critical materials to frontline units, forward operating bases, and deep space deployments.
Construction Battalion (CB): Provides engineering, fortification, and infrastructure capabilities. Responsible for the rapid construction of defensive structures, outposts, landing zones, and field installations.
Medical Division (MD): Staffed with combat medics, trauma specialists, and SAR-certified pilots. Deployed across capital ships, ground bases, and aerial rescue platforms. Responds to battlefield casualties, medical evacuations, and recovery missions under fire.
This structure allows Blaise’s Blackguard to operate as a fully integrated, self-supporting security force capable of deploying to any environment, responding to any contract, and sustaining prolonged, complex operations without external dependency.
Lethality Engage with overwhelming force where necessary. Eliminate threats with efficiency and clarity of purpose.
Precision Every deployment is strategic. Every engagement has defined parameters. No unnecessary bull. No mission drift.
Accountability Every action is recorded, reviewed, and reported. We are answerable to the contract, to the Guild, and to our internal code.
All personnel shall operate with professionalism, discipline, and discretion.
No engagement may be conducted without a formally ratified contract under GFSP or an authorized emergency response clause.
Blackguard forces shall not accept contracts from:
Known slaver organizations
Known terrorist organizations
Clients seeking unlawful political destabilization
Collateral damage shall be minimized. Civilian harm is unacceptable.
Contracts must be submitted through official Guild channels or authorized liaison terminals.
Emergency contracts may be accepted under the “Immediate Hostility Clause” if verified via two-party authentication.
Payment terms are standardized: 50% upfront / 50% post-confirmation unless otherwise negotiated.
The Blackguard is not affiliated with any political, corporate, or paramilitary body. Its loyalty is to the contract and the contract alone. All forces are retained on a per-mission basis and are not subject to client command structure unless stipulated in writing.
This charter may only be amended with approval from both Strategic Command and the GFSP Charter Review Board. Unauthorized changes render the unit non-compliant and subject to Guild disciplinary action or license revocation.
