We are Blackstone; A gaggle of bastards whom joined together to form a military group. We operate from our bases, going from place to place doing whatever we want. Joining us gives you the opportunity to work as part of a team or go solo with the reassurance that you’ll always have us at your back.
The Blackstone. Military was founded by four friends who quickly realised the verse is a cold, dark, unforgiving place. So instead of sitting in their Lorville apartments, crying about how their Aurora got shot down by pirates. They decided to form a group and set off into the wider galaxy; pickup up other citizens as they went. Eventually they decided to officially form the PMC and thus Blackstone was created.
After the official formation, the group started moving from system to system collecting bounties, moving cargo, completing jobs, enforcing demands. After some time they had accumulated enough UEC to lay low for a while. They headed for a remote planet with a breathable atmosphere and enjoyed the spoils of the trade.
Whilst stationed on the planet, taking in the scenery and exploring their surroundings, the group noticed an outcropping of rock. Turns out this ‘outcropping’ was a large vain of Eriesium, a rare metal heavily sought after in the UEE. The coordinates alone would fetch a hefty price. Knowing full well what they had stumbled upon the group noted down the location and set off for the nearest civilised system.
The group contacted the United Earth Mining Corporation. Who sent a surveyor with them to validate the claim and confirm the coordinates. Once the claim was legitimised the UEMC transferred the agreed sum and parted ways. As the group were celebrating their newly found wealth the announcement for 2948 Invictus Fleet Week was displayed on every advertising bored around the city. They knew what to spend there new funds on.
Nothing in the standard Invictus Expo piqued the groups interest. However when Drake opened their Expo halls and announced the new Kraken ‘Multi-Role’ Carrier, the group headed straight for the sales representative and put an order down. This monster of a vessel would cost them nearly all their funds but it was worth it. Their new vision for the PMC was about to be realised, however they had to wait for the ship to be constructed before they could start establishing themselves. In the mean time they had a lot of planning to do…
Blackstone Military is a PMC. Using our Kraken as a mobile HQ we travel the systems exploring what they have to offer as well as securing certain missions and contracts from other organisations that may require our services. We pride our selves on our structure which allows members to work as part of a team or on their own with the support of the Org should they need it.
Once our members have achieved a high enough rank, we allow them access to any spare ships in our arsenal, meaning they are free to leave the HQ and complete their own missions, bounties, take time off and explore! This gives our members the unique flexibility to work as part of the team, participating in group missions and objectives or take off solo, knowing they have the backup of the Org should they need it.
However being part of this PMC also means you have a duty to assist your Org should they require your assistance. Any member of the Org that is out on their own will receive a ‘ping’ from the capital ship. This ‘ping’ is a mandatory request and will require said members to return to the capital ship and assist as needed. The ‘ping’ maybe sent when the capital ship is under attack or a major Org operation is in action. Failure to respond to these ‘pings’ may result in reprimand unless adequately excused.
New members will serve as ship crew and participate in mandatory training in order to get them acquainted with how the Org functions. Upon completion of the training new members will be given options on which roles they would like to peruse. (For now these are divided into two categories). Army and Navy. Army focuses more on the ground combat and military presence where as Navy focuses more on working as a crew member on larger vessels. Both options eventually allow members to use spare ships and take off on their own.
Failure to comply with the rules will result in reprimand, revocation of privileges or banishment.
We are morally grey, often going where the money is. Attacking easy targets, accepting intriguing contracts, taking advantage of the situation.
Players may receive promotions by proving themselves in combat, showing good leadership skills and completing assigned missions successfully.
Promotions will be awarded during Certain Ceremonies or Mission Debriefs. Players assuming a leadership role during battle is only temporary, Promotions require a formal arrangement.
As the game evolves the ranks are custom to change.
Later we plan to have two categories, Combat and Navy. Combat will be used for members who want to focus more on ground combat and have Combat based ranks. Navy will be used for Officers and Ship Crew. This is done to make organisation easier within the PMC.
