History
The name “5×5” started as old comms jargon — loud and clear. Somewhere between a cargo run through Stanton and a dusty landing on Daymar, it became something more: a signal between pilots who knew how to fly smart, stick together, and enjoy the ride.
5×5 began with a handful of independent players who wanted something simple — good crew, good comms, and the freedom to explore the ‘verse. What started as casual ops between friends grew into a shared mindset: maturity, respect, and a focus on enjoying everything Star Citizen has to offer.
Manifesto
We are a crew of players who enjoy Star Citizen for its scale, variety, and the good company it brings.
Our goal is to explore everything the ‘verse has to offer — together or solo — with a shared mindset of maturity and mutual respect.
What We Value:
Play your way: Whether you’re exploring, hauling, mining, fighting, or just hanging out — we enjoy all playstyles.
We are a crew: We fly farther — and better — together.
We are a force for good: We face challenges as a team and help others when we can.
Respect for others: We don’t grief or disrupt the game for others. We show respect inside and outside the crew — including people’s time, gear, and efforts.
Real-life balance: Most of us have families, jobs, and other interests. Participation is appreciated, never required.
Open membership: We have friends everywhere.
Positive atmosphere: We keep things friendly, grounded, and fun.
What we do:

Purpose
5×5 is a group of family and friends who enjoy Star Citizen’s vast universe and various types of gameplay. Our goal is to create a capable crew where members can explore, collaborate, and have fun — whether flying solo or in groups.

Respect: Treat all players with kindness and consideration. Griefing, ganking or harassment is not the 5×5 way.
Flexibility: Support members’ freedom to play their way, balancing game time with real-life commitments.

Organization Structure
Star Citizen is not a job — it’s a game and an outlet for fun. We operate with a loose structure where everyone is included in decision-making. We’re here to play Star Citizen, not to boss others around. Leadership roles exist to help coordinate, but all voices matter in shaping our direction.
Commitment
Participation is voluntary. Life happens and there are many demands on time. While making commitments is not required, when you do commit to an activity or mission, we trust you to be prepared and reliable, ready to support the crew and the mission at hand. Respecting each other’s time and effort helps keep our crew strong and enjoyable for everyone.
