We are the shield that stands between chaos and the vulnerable. We hold the line, we protect the passage, and we give players a place to breathe. Whether it’s a cargo run, a deep-space patrol, or a call for help, the Brigade responds.
03B – “The Last Line, Every Time.”
Our Founding Principle
The Bulwark Bastion Brigade was forged from a simple, undeniable truth: Honor without unity is a candle in the wind.
In the early days, our founders witnessed countless acts of piracy and aggression. They saw skilled warriors and protectors fighting alone, their individual efforts ultimately failing to stem the tide of lawlessness that threatened the common citizen. It became clear that a new doctrine was needed—one that could channel the spirit of the warrior into the structure of a legion.
The Covenant Doctrine
Our organization is built upon the Ironbound Covenant—a sacred oath that binds our members to a singular purpose: the protection of the innocent from the predators of the void. This doctrine dictates our every action and defines our Rules of Engagement.
We are the shield. Our primary function is protection, not aggression. We do not fire first, but we will end the fight.
Strength through discipline. We studied historical military structures and adopted the Legionary system, creating a chain of command that ensures tactical precision and coordinated action. It is this discipline that turns a chaotic battlefield into a controlled killzone.
Justice, not vengeance. Our targets are pirates, griefers, and slavers. We operate as an instrument of justice, not a weapon of personal revenge.
The First Legatus
The title of Legatus is not inherited; it is earned. Our founder, the first to successfully implement the Covenant Doctrine, earned this title after unifying several disparate warrior clans under one banner. By organizing our fighting force under disciplined Centurions, they created a fighting force capable of accomplishing what no individual could.
The Legatus is the guardian of our creed and the ultimate authority on its execution. This title represents our unique blend of a warrior’s heart and a general’s mind.
Our Mission Today
The Bulwark Bastion Brigade operates as a mobile sanctuary and a rapid-response guardian force. Our mission is to ensure that commerce, exploration, and civilian life can continue safely, even in the darkest corners of the ‘verse. We are a bulwark against the chaos—a fortified bastion for all who fly in peace.
We are the wall that moves with you.
Stand behind the Bastion.
The void itself is not our enemy. The chaos is. Piracy, greed, and violence are the poisons that corrupt it, and we are the ironclad response. We believe that true power is not found in conquest, but in the unwavering shield that protects civilization. Discipline is the forge where our strength is tempered.
The Ironbound Oath
We are governed by three pillars—the foundation of the sacred Ironbound Oath that every member swears.
I. ORDER OVER ANARCHY
We recognize that a lone warrior is a liability. A disciplined legion is a force of nature. We do not merely react to chaos; we impose order through superior tactics, unbreakable communication, and the unified will of the legion. We swear by the strength of structure.
II. GUARDIANSHIP OVER DOMINION
Our might exists for one purpose: to be the shield for those who have none. We are not mercenaries; we are guardians. Our success is measured not by the enemies we break, but by the lives and ventures that thrive under our protection. We swear to be the wall against the darkness.
III. JUSTICE OVER VENGEANCE
We understand that vengeance is the fuel of endless war. Justice is the tool that ends it. Our force is applied with precision and calculation to neutralize threats and restore safety. We do not act from passion, but from purpose. We swear to be the instrument of impartial justice.
We are The Bulwark Bastion Brigade. We are the logical, disciplined answer to a lawless universe. Our history was forged in fire, but our future is sealed by an oath of iron.
