After a freak accident involving the Stargate during the early years of its use, Comdr Kneen along with a few other Scientists and Explorer's found out they had inadvertently been thrown into another dimension after the wormhole somehow mixed with a experimental Quantum bubble. After being held in a top secret bunker for Quantum drive and FTL research and development and enduring months of tests, questions and identification procedures the UEE gave them a new lease on life in this somewhat strange yet familiar universe.
