"I captain The Creature of Habit, a proud Anvil Reclaimer we somehow snagged from a UEE auction with a bid so low I’m still expecting someone to demand it back. She’s big, loud, and still rocking the original padded wall panels—most of them stained in ways we really hope aren’t blood. We keep saying we’ll find the time (or the funds) to replace them, but salvage pays what salvage pays, and apparently upholstery isn’t in the budget.
My crew is small, chaotic, and powered mostly by caffeine, duct tape, and questionable decisions. We show up to wrecks, poke things we shouldn’t, and somehow leave with profit before anyone notices. Are we the best salvage team in the ‘verse? Absolutely not. But we’re stubborn, lucky, and weirdly good at turning ‘oh no’ into ‘oh hey, money.’
We may not always know what we’re doing, but somehow—we make it work."
