Born on ArcCorp in 2932 to a lower-middle-class single mother, Smokes enjoyed a childhood of hanging out at the landing pads every chance she got, listening to the pilots and merchants swap stories. She always dreamed of becoming a pilot just like them.
She'd take every free moment volunteering on Constellations, Caterpillars, Starlifters, and any other cargo vessel she could get her hands on, as the larger ships usually took long hauls, which meant more time aboard.
In 2951, by the age of 19, she was hired by the MasonCorp organization, based out of Lorville, Hurston, as a transport pilot. Quickly she noticed that its leader, Inzide, was an oppressive dictator who severely punished those that dared to question any of MasonCorp's actions. She was extraordinarily underpaid and worked long hours without any means of compensation.
She eventually cut ties with the Org and fell in with a group of fellow MasonCorp defectors and outside associates.
