VERSEGUARD: An Unofficial History
No founding charter. No government approval. No corporate backing. Just a mission.
VERSEGUARD began not in a war room, but in the wreckage of a forgotten outpost on the fringe of civilized space. When the Nine Tails hit, official UEE support was days away. By the time they arrived, it was too late.
The ones who made it out did so because a few veterans, medics, off-duty pilots, and brave civilians ignored orders and went in anyway. What started as a rescue became a stand. What should have been court-martials became a legend whispered in fringe systems.
What Followed Wasn’t a Movement. It Was a Momentum.
From Kareah’s blackout to the Bacchus smuggler ring incident, more unaffiliated ops started showing up where justice failed to land. Old soldiers. Young pilots. Medics with a grudge. Civilians with backbone. All tired of watching governments and megacorps stall while good people suffered.
Eventually, they called themselves VERSEGUARD.
Today, as it did that very first day, VERSEGUARD stands for the ’Verse and its citizens.
They’re not mercenaries. Not enforcers. Not even a militia. They’re de-facto guardians—of order, of people, of what’s right.
UEE brass calls them vigilantes.
Corpos call them a liability.
But in the dust and the dark…people call them family.
VERSEGUARD doesn’t wait for permission. They answer a call older than law: to protect those who can’t protect themselves.
Join VERSEGUARD. Because someone has to stand up for the ’Verse.
It might as well be you.

The VERSEGUARD Manifesto
A statement of intent, not perfection.
Why We Exist
We came from different places—military, medical, cargo, security. Some of us still wear the uniform. Some walked away from it. All of us saw the same thing: People falling through the cracks.
Governments stall. Corps calculate. Outlaws take what they want. And the rest of the ’verse just tries to keep breathing.
We formed VERSEGUARD because we got tired of watching it happen.
We don’t want power or praise. We just want to help where we can, and stop what we can’t ignore.
What We Do
Sometimes we get called vigilantes. Sometimes they’re not wrong. But we try to be better than the alternatives.
What We Believe
We don’t claim to have all the answers. We make mistakes. We disagree. But we show up.
We stand for the ’verse. And we do our best to guard the line between chaos and community.
What We’re Not
This isn’t about heroism. It’s about responsibility—the kind nobody asked us to take, but we carry anyway.
Who We Are
We’re motivated. We’re skilled. We’re not perfect. But we still give a damn.
If you do too, there might be a place for you here.
VERSEGUARD Charter
A shared code among those who choose to stand.
1. Have Each Other’s Backs
We’re here because we believe in something bigger than ourselves. We look out for the folks who show up. That starts with each other.
2. Do the Right Thing
We don’t all define it the same way. That’s fine. Just act with purpose, and know why you’re doing what you’re doing. Lead by example.
3. Respect Goes Both Ways
No one’s above anyone else here. You’re free to speak your mind—but so is everyone else. Carry yourself like someone worth listening to. We treat each other—and the people we cross—with decency, or we walk.
4. Don’t Make It Worse
We’re not here to stir up trouble. We get involved when it matters, not just to prove a point. Know when to stand firm—and when to stand down.
5. Be Real
Say what you mean. Own your choices. No posturing, no politics—just people trying to do good, however messy that gets.
6. Live Free, Don’t Tread
We’re not here to police thoughts, speech, or beliefs. Just don’t use your freedom to trample someone else’s.
7. This Is a Choice
No one’s forced to be here. You stand with VERSEGUARD because you believe it’s worth doing—and you’re free to walk away if that changes.
This isn’t about rules. It’s about trust, standing for the ’verse, and guarding what’s worth guarding. We’re not a hierarchy or a brand. We’re a loose line of people who decided the ’verse is worth protecting—and that someone’s gotta do it.
Together’s the only way it works.
