Origins & Mandate (c. 2920–2930)
Born from a patchwork of forward-deployed elements on the Xi’an frontier, the 22nd Expeditionary Fleet was formally stood up in 2923 to give the Navy a mobile, self-sustaining force package that could scout, strike, and sustain itself well beyond established supply lines. Its mission profile blended rapid-response combat power with deep logistics reach—an unusual pairing that became the Fleet’s hallmark.
Cutting Their Teeth: Operation Keystone Verge (2931)
When pirate syndicates began interdicting merchant lanes near the Baker–Goss corridor, the 22nd was dispatched as an “expeditionary trial.”
Humanitarian Pivot: Vega II Relief & Reconstruction (2946)
Following the Vega II attacks, the 22nd was reassigned to stabilize supply lines and evacuate civilians.
Recent Highlights & Present Posture (2954–Present)
Today, the 22nd Expeditionary Fleet is regarded as the model for “balanced expeditionary doctrine”—lean, agile combatants married to a logistics arm that does more than just refuel.
“Carry the Fleet, Bite when Needed.” The 22nd’s culture embraces duality: logistics officers trained to think offensively, and destroyer crews versed in sustainment realities. DESRON-38 and LOGRON-88 aren’t just adjacent units—they’re complementary halves of a doctrine that treats every bolt, crate, and missile as part of one continuous fight.
UEE Navy 22nd Expeditionary Fleet — Brief Description & Organization
The 22nd Expeditionary Fleet is a self-sustaining, forward-deployed force built to scout, strike, and sustain itself far from established UEE support nodes. It marries fast, hard-hitting combatants with an equally aggressive logistics arm, allowing it to “carry the fight” and keep it supplied in hostile or undeveloped theaters.
Core Mission
Table of Organization
The 22nd Expeditionary Fleet is comprised of multiple units. The two (2) major unit structures within the Fleet are Logistics Squadron 88 (LOGRON-88) and Destroyer Squadron 38 (DESRON-38). These units complement each other. LOGRON-88 supplies the fleet and maintains supply lines through contracts to increase the overall budget of the fleet while DESRON-38 is the heavy hitting offensive and defensive component. Attached to DESRON-38 are a number of fighter squadrons meant to fill specific roles, such as Interceptor Fighter Squadron 55 (IF-55).
At present, LOGRON-88 is the active standing unit within the org. The unit participates in cargo hauling and salvaging gameplay loops and supplies the rest of the fleet through procurement and requisition of uniforms, armors, weapons, ammunition, and equipment.
Scale of the Unit
As the unit grows, so will the scale. While currently focused primarily on non-combat ventures through the cargo hauling and salvaging gameplay loops, the intent is to grow the overall unit in a manageable and scalable fashion where as personnel move through the ranks, further opportunities will manifest to command individual ships within the overall fleet and squadron structures. The goal is to create a unified, cohesive, and self-sustainable force that can complete a wide variety of mission sets and game play loops.
We are a MilSim org, but we offer styles of gameplay that are compatible with both casual and hardcore players. We want to create an environment that is welcoming of the various playstyles while unifying them in purpose and execution. Teamwork and communication are imperative to achieve our goals. Membership in the org means joining a team that is united in purpose. New members to Star Citizen are welcome in the org and our members are willing to teach them the ins and outs of the game.
Rank Structure
The rank structure of our unit is as follows:
NOTE: At present, the highest achievable rank within the org is Lieutenant. As stated above, the scale will naturally progress as the organization grows and more ships become available for crewing.
The UEE Navy 22nd Expeditionary Fleet is a MilSim / Role-Play Organization that caters to both hardcore and casual players alike. Currently, the only open unit to join is Logistics Squadron 88 (LOGRON-88), which participates in cargo and salvage gameplay loops. Military rules and regulations similar to that of the United States Navy / Royal Navy (British) have been adopted for both organizational and immersion purposes. These have been carefully crafted so as to not detract from the overall experience of playing Star Citizen and to maintain a healthy balance between “realism” (in a military sense) and fun.
The 22nd Expeditionary Fleet currently operates primarily in the North American Eastern Time Zone. Scheduled events range from early in the afternoon to later in the evening. Typically, events are scheduled between 12:00 ET to 22:00 ET. Events attended can consist of operations or training events and certifications. In addition to scheduled events, members are typically on frequently throughout the week at varying times and play together. There is generally always something going on. We greatly encourage membership from those outside North America, as our event times are flexible enough for those living in the EU and abroad to attend events.
The minimum age requirement for membership in the 22nd Expeditionary Fleet is sixteen (16) years old. There are no exceptions to this rule as we are looking for mature players that are looking to have a good time together and aren’t afraid of a little banter back and forth. There will be times when we will be serious and times when we won’t. Having people that are capable of navigating those extremes is essential. The majority of our membership is well into adulthood.
Currently, membership in the 22nd Expeditionary Fleet is not exclusive. As time goes on and the organization grows, this may be subject to change. Those that join the organization will enjoy the benefits of membership, to include being outfitted with all uniforms and equipment free of charge. Any gear issued to members by the organization will be replaced if lost without charge. Due to the fact that we are a MilSim organization, there are uniform and equipment standards. Custom or personally owned equipment will be authorized on a case-by-case basis and will not be replenished by the organization if lost or destroyed.
Membership in the organization will require the following:
