History
The United Colonies is in certain ways a successor to the Colonial Government, an interplanetary union that emerged following the demise of the Virgon and Leonese empires. The United Colonies of Kobol itself was formed around the year 1948 in the Articles of Colonization, wherein the twelve independent planetary states – dubbed the “Twelve Worlds” – were unified as a single state to better coordinate the military and industry towards fighting the Cylon War. Rather than planets be recognised as colonies of the more powerful planetary states such as Caprica, the twelve were regarded as colonies of Kobol. Each planet continued to have small elements of sovereignty, such as preserving their own legal systems.
After twelve years of war, the government signed an armistice agreement with the Cylons, ending the war on a stalemate and seeing the establishment of a demilitarised border between human and Cylon-controlled space. Little is known of colonial history over the next forty years until the Presidency of Richard Adar, a Caprican whose administration became known for massive-scale militarisation brought on by fear of a hypothesised Cylon invasion. Government investing in Dr. Gaius Baltar’s Command Navigation Program ultimately led to their downfall, when Cylon agents became aware of the research and directly influenced the writing of algorithms to allow it to be infiltrated. During the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, the Cylons used Baltar’s program to disable the near entirety of the Colonial Fleet and their defenses, allowing their Basestar armadas to swiftly annihilate their opponents and commence the nuclear bombardment of each of the Colonies unhindered.
Manifesto
The United Colonies of Kobol (UCOK) is a Star Citizen organization that draws inspiration from the lore of Battlestar Galactica. It operates as a role-playing group with a structured government, military, and economy, aiming to create an immersive experience for its members.
UCOK follows a federation-style governance, with a President overseeing the Quorum of Twelve, which represents different planetary colonies. The organization emphasizes respect, teamwork, and fair play, ensuring a welcoming environment for all members.

- Exploration & Trade – Expanding influence through resource gathering and commerce.

Each colony maintains some sovereignty, preserving its own legal systems while contributing to the overall governance of UCOK. The organization emphasizes respect, teamwork, and fair play, ensuring a structured yet inclusive environment for its members.

General Rules.
• Real life comes first!
• All external affairs and dealings with officials from other Organizations must be conducted in a friendly manner.
• It is off utmost importance that all members of the Org are treated with respect. It is also important to treat people outside the Org with equal courtesy. All disputes shall be dealt with in a responsible and mature style.
• Anybody caught cheating, hacking, exploiting irresponsibly, or griefing will be BANNED and also REMOVED from the Organization .
• Treat all members with equal respect, regardless of race, age, opinions, gender, and sexual orientation.
• You may join other Organizations as an affiliate as long as their goals do not interfere with UCoK interests.
Punishable Offenses.
• Insults, personal attacks, abuse, harassment.
• Derogatory comments based on nationality, culture, race, religion, gender, or sexual preferences.
• Begging or Soliciting.
• Distribution of a user’s personal information.
• Discussing or linking to illegal activities.
• Giving real world or in-game threats.
• Advertising other clans or Organizations.
• Discussion (with the intent to troll) of social, religious, political, illegal or other controversial topics.
