History
Born in the silent lanes of Stanton, Obsidian Relay began not as an organization, but as a necessity. Independent haulers, former military specialists, and quiet professionals found themselves moving information as valuable as any shipment of ore or weapons. Where others saw only cargo, these individuals recognized that data was the purest form of power in the ‘verse.
During the waning years of the Messer era, when surveillance and censorship ran rampant, discreet networks formed to keep information flowing between those who resisted the regime. Some burned out, some were absorbed into criminal syndicates, but a handful survived by being smarter, quieter, and more disciplined. These survivors became the foundation for what is now known as Obsidian Relay.
As the UEE entered its modern age and megacorps tightened their grip on commerce, Obsidian Relay shifted focus. The group learned to thrive in the gaps — not challenging governments or corporations directly, but ensuring that information could travel where it was needed most, regardless of borders, blockades, or black markets.
Today, Obsidian Relay is no longer a loose collection of operators but a discreet, structured network. The Mercury Star Runner is our vessel of choice, perfectly suited for encrypted cargo and stealth transit. From Stanton’s busy lanes to Pyro’s hidden channels, our mission remains unchanged:
