Founding Era (2949) — The Covenant of Steel
The year was 2949, just after the UEE’s disastrous withdrawal from Vanduul front sectors.
Several former Navy and Advocacy operatives — disillusioned by political paralysis and the erosion of discipline within the Empire’s ranks — converged on the fringe world of Magnus. Among them was a strategist known only by the callsign Dank, whose vision was to build a fighting force independent of bureaucracy yet grounded in order and unity.
What began as a loose alliance of mercenaries and displaced soldiers soon became the Socii Legion — bound by an oath older than the Empire itself:
“Per Aspera Ad Astra.”
Through hardship, to the stars.

2950–2952 — The War of the Broken Line
The Socii’s first true trial came during the chaotic border conflicts known as the War of the Broken Line, a series of proxy skirmishes between outlaw clans and corporate militias vying for control of jump point trade routes near Kellog.
When civilian convoys began disappearing, the Socii intervened — not for payment, but for principle. They established disciplined patrols, executed coordinated strikes on pirate enclaves, and brought military precision to a frontier that had forgotten what order looked like.
By 2952, the Socii name had become a whispered warning in the lawless sectors: “Hold formation, or the Socii will.”

2953–2955 — The Alliance of Iron
In the wake of their frontier victories, the Socii entered into a temporary alliance with several small-scale orgs seeking stability — the Alliance of Iron.
For two years, the Socii served as the shield and sword of that coalition, training new recruits, leading convoy escorts, and dismantling raider syndicates that plagued the UEE’s fringes.
But when greed fractured the alliance in 2955, the Socii refused to turn their guns on former allies. They walked away — bloodied, but unbroken — and swore never again to fight for politics over principle.
From that day forward, they fought only for each other.

Origins in the Ashes
The Socii were born in the silence that follows destruction.
In the aftermath of failed coalitions, broken allegiances, and abandoned worlds, a scattered group of veterans, mercenaries, and free captains came together under a single banner. They had grown tired of chaos masquerading as freedom — tired of watching empires fall to corruption and greed.
From the ashes of fractured alliances, they built something different:
