Their mission was clear and uncompromising—to provide unparalleled protection for colonies, corporate assets, and deep-space convoys operating in the most dangerous regions of space.
From the beginning, SAFEGAARD was built not as a common private military contractor, but as a professional force bound by discipline, honor, and strategic foresight.
Golden Age: Rise to Prominence
By 2935, SAFEGAARD had risen to become the foremost private military corporation in known space. Its defining moment came during the Yela Pirate Suppression Campaign, where SAFEGAARD fleets successfully defended a vulnerable consortium of mining stations against coordinated pirate armadas. What many expected to be a massacre instead became a decisive and surgical victory.
This campaign marked the dawn of SAFEGAARD’s Golden Age.

Our Objectives

Charter
The SAFEGAARD Charter
Code of Conduct, Authority, and Responsibility
Established to govern all operatives, officers, and commanders of SAFEGAARD in the defense of humanity and the preservation of peace among the stars.
I. Oath of Service
All who bear the insignia of SAFEGAARD do so in service to a cause greater than themselves.
Every member shall swear to:
Defend the innocent without hesitation.
Uphold peace without corruption.
Act with honor even in the face of annihilation.
Place the survival of others above personal ambition.
Service within SAFEGAARD is a duty—not a privilege.
II. Authority & Obedience
Orders issued through the recognized chain of command must be obeyed without delay.
Disobedience is permitted only when an order clearly violates this Charter or threatens civilian life without strategic necessity.
No individual, regardless of rank, stands above this Charter.
Loyalty to SAFEGAARD is absolute—but loyalty to humanity comes first.
III. Protection of Civilian Life
Civilian life is sacred and inviolable.
Lethal force may only be used when:
Civilian lives are under imminent threat.
All reasonable non-lethal measures have failed.
Strategic necessity has been confirmed by command authority.
Collective punishment, terror tactics, and indiscriminate destruction are strictly forbidden.

IV. Conduct in War & Peace

VII. Unity & Internal Security
Factionalism, power-brokering, and loyalty cults are forbidden.
No SAFEGAARD force may be formed outside centralized command authority.

VIII. Use of Technology & Enhancement
Cybernetic, genetic, and AI augmentation must be authorized and regulated.

IX. Discipline, Justice & Accountability
All personnel are subject to SAFEGAARD law regardless of rank.
