We are Starcitizen Dads AUS.
A group of fathers, united by our love for the stars and the responsibility we carry here on Earth. We are not just players, but fathers, husbands, workers, and, above all, supporters of one another in balancing the universe of gaming with the everyday demands of life.

Our Mission:

Gaming with Responsibility: We understand the challenge of being a dedicated gamer while juggling work, family, and other adult responsibilities. Starcitizen Dads AUS is a place where fathers can come together to game in a low-pressure, understanding environment. Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, you are always welcome.

Aussie-Based, Global Community: As a group of Aussie dads, we embrace our timezone and culture, while welcoming fathers from all around the world who share our understanding of life’s responsibilities. We are a diverse and inclusive community built on mutual respect and shared experiences.

Family First, Always: Our families are our priority. We don’t just respect that balance—we live it. In Starcitizen Dads AUS, you’ll find a supportive community that recognizes the importance of making time for your family, all while enjoying the adventures of the Star Citizen universe.

Chill, No-Pressure Gaming: No one here needs to prove anything. Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned veteran, we understand that everyone’s journey is different. We play for fun, for escape, and for camaraderie. The only pressure we face is from the black hole of our to-do lists.

Introduction

Star Citizen Dads Aus (SCDA) is a community founded by parents and players who know that real life always comes first. Gaming is a release, not an obligation.
SCDA exists to provide a supportive, flexible, and fun environment where members can enjoy all aspects of Star Citizen together — whether flying solo, joining missions, building, exploring, or simply connecting over shared experiences.

This Charter provides the foundation of principles, values, and a guiding framework established by The Original Concept. From this base, SCDA will continue to grow and evolve through the contributions, creativity, and collaboration of its members.

Founding Principles

Real life always comes first.
Community before organisation; people before pixels.
Inclusivity: all skill levels, playstyles, and time commitments are welcome.
Shared responsibility: members actively shape the community.
Fairness, transparency, and openness in decisions and processes.

Role of The Original Concept

Provide the foundation and guiding framework for SCDA.
Ensure that the founding principles remain at the heart of the community.
Act as mentors and stewards — not rulers.
Support and empower community-led decision-making and organic growth.

Community Growth & Governance

Membership-Driven Evolution:
SCDA grows through its members. Direction, culture, and activities develop organically through participation, discussion, and shared passion.

Departments & Roles:
Departments and roles will be created and evolve as needed, providing consistency and purpose for members who wish to participate in organised gameplay or community initiatives (e.g., diplomacy, logistics, security, events, exploration, etc.).

Leadership & Mentorship:
Leaders will naturally arise from within the community — not through appointment or rank, but through initiative and engagement. Their purpose is to support consistency, collaboration, and direction for members who wish to engage with their department or project.

Shared Leadership:
Leadership is not fixed. Roles can rotate, expand, or dissolve as the community evolves and needs change.

Democratic Decision-Making:
Major decisions are made collectively, guided by transparency, fairness, and the community’s shared principles.

This Charter is a living agreement, designed to grow alongside SCDA.
Members are encouraged to propose amendments, new structures, or additional principles as the community develops — ensuring that the organisation always reflects the values and voice of its members.
