History

Historical Log:
Spawned in the fires of battle and fury of explosions…

The Quantum Relief Command + was formed in “2935”, in the aftermath of the “Walzer Massacre”, a brutal ambush on OP Station Demien orbiting Nexus II. What started as a routine security response became a legendary standoff: a handful of UEE Marines, cut off and surrounded, battled for survival within the corridors of the derelict station.

But it was the selfless actions of a single Combat Medic, assigned as part of the security detachment, that laid the foundation for the Command. With no reinforcements, dwindling supplies, and only his medgun and grit, the medic stabilized and revived dozens of injured marines and civilian workers during a six-hour running battle inside the station. He fought not with a rifle, but with syringes, scanners, and skill.

When reinforcements arrived and the pirates were driven out, stories of the Medic’s heroism spread like wildfire. He became a symbol: not just of resilience, but of the power of humanitarian action under fire.

QRC+ was born from this tale not a military force, but a paramilitary medical and relief corps, operating in the grey zones of UEE controlled and fringe systems, where war, lawlessness, and suffering go hand in hand. QRC+ serves the injured, the stranded, and the desperate. It is both shield and salve.

Over the decades, QRC+ grew into a diverse coalition. From this coalition, three primary Orders factions with unique philosophies and duties emerged: the Biomancer, the Terraborn, and the Quantum Nomad.

The Factions
With 3 Factions of beliefs the QRC+ has a diverse array of playstyles and backgrounds for its members. These Factions build the backstory and body of the Org allowing each member to chose one at recruitment. Take part in the Story, Events, And Roleplaying opportunities surrounding each of the factions.

The Biomancers are a group of rogue medical researchers and bioengineers within QRC+, formed after the Tayari Plague Outbreak of 2940. Disillusioned with the UEE’s medical system, they embraced experimental biotech like bio-repair symbiotes and nanomedical injectors. While their methods are controversial and often deemed “non-compliant,” they have a proven record of saving lives in situations where traditional medicine fails.

The Terraborn are planetary environmental responders and terra-restoration specialists within QRC+, formed after the Green-Hollow Collapse on Terra IV in 2942. Comprised of engineers, survivalists, and eco-paramedics, they focus on healing environments as well as people. They restore biospheres, purify water, and reseed food chains in areas devastated by conflict or disaster, earning them the nickname “eco-zealots” which they wear proudly.

The Quantum Nomads are long-range search-and-rescue operatives within QRC+, formed after the 2992 collapse of UEE Outpost Sledge 7. Operating from customized ships, they respond to distress beacons deep in space, often far from civilization. Independent and always on the move, they provide medical aid and supplies to those in need, earning them a reputation for arriving exactly when needed.

Together, these three factions form the soul of Quantum Relief Command +. Each represents a philosophy of care forged in battle, refined in adversity, and expressed in action.

Manifesto

In battle, when smoke clouds the sky and blood stains the ground, there are those who run to the wounded, not away. From this conviction, Quantum Relief Command + was born.

We are not soldiers. We are not politicians. We are medics, engineers, rescuers, and survivalists. QRC+ exists to serve, support, and sustain life—no matter the system, no matter the cost.

Our origins lie in tragedy: the 2935 Walzer Massacre, a brutal ambush aboard OP Station Demien. When a marine unit was cut off and overwhelmed, one combat medic stood alone against the dark. No backup. No command. Just courage, skill, and a mission to save lives. That six-hour battle was a crucible—one that forged more than just survival. It forged a legacy.

QRC+ is that legacy.

We do not wear a single uniform. We are diverse by design—a coalition of UEE veterans, independent citizens, fringe explorers, and outlaw defectors. What unites us is not ideology, but purpose. Wherever lives are in danger, wherever systems collapse, wherever the call goes out—we answer.

Our operations span warzones, frontier stations, broken colonies, and deep-space voids. We offer:

Emergency extraction and field medical aid

Environmental and planetary relief

Long-range search and rescue

Tactical recovery in contested zones

But QRC+ is more than a service. We are a philosophy. We believe that life is sacred, even when the galaxy forgets it.

To support this mission, we organize ourselves into three distinct factions:

Biomancers pursue radical, cutting-edge biotech to heal what conventional medicine cannot.

Terraborn dedicate themselves to planetary recovery—repairing ecosystems alongside bodies.

Quantum Nomads roam the stars, answering beacons no one else dares to follow.

Whether you join for combat medical roles, ship operations, logistics, or exploration—we welcome those with heart, discipline, and the will to act when it matters most.

We operate on a “free to come, free to go” foundation. We are not a cult or a command chain—we are a community bound by shared values and mission-first commitment. Every member contributes in their own way. All that we ask is that you respect the work, the lives we protect, and the brothers and sisters who stand beside you.

We are Quantum Relief Command +.
We do not seek war—but we will walk through it to reach the fallen.
We are the light in the aftermath. The breath after the explosion.
We are the ones who stay when others retreat.

If you feel the call, answer it.
Serve the verse. Save lives. Join QRC+.

Charter

The Orgs Current Mission and Charter:

Project Curae
The final goal of Project Curae is to build the Master Codex: a shared, dynamic, multimedia encyclopedia available to all QRC+ personnel. Updated constantly with new logs, discoveries, anomalies, maps, and recovered data, the Codex ensures that no responder ever walks into the unknown without guidance.

PROJECT CURAE
“To care is to know. To know is to heal.”

Project Curae — derived from the Old Earth Latin word “Curae,” meaning care — is a cornerstone initiative of the Quantum Relief Command , serving as its scientific, medical, and exploratory vanguard. Founded in the wake of QRC’s growing influence across frontier systems, Curae was conceived as a living archive — a grand codex of life, survival, and healing across the known universe and beyond.
While QRC+ provides direct field relief and tactical medical response, Project Curae operates in the space between — where knowledge, environment, and biology intersect. The initiative is responsible for building the Master Codex, a comprehensive, ever-expanding database of:
Medical Knowledge, including alien pathology, trauma protocols under varied gravities, and xenomedicine.

Planetary and Environmental Interactions, mapping how atmospheres, radiation, gravity wells, and elemental phenomena affect human and alien physiology

Flora and Fauna Studies, categorizing species across systems — from symbiotic medicinal plants to aggressive ecosystem disruptors

Elemental and Atmospheric Conditions, documenting effects of radiation storms, exotic gas pockets, ion fallout, and more

Everything encountered — from genetic anomalies to planetary spores to microscopic toxic compounds — is collected, studied, and logged for the benefit of all QRC+ personnel, ensuring that every relief team, from Biomancer to Terraborn, can operate with cutting-edge situational awareness and safety.

Organizational Structure & Roles
Project Curae is entirely powered by the dedication of QRC+ members — volunteers, researchers, and protectors drawn from across the org’s ranks. Curae field missions are often conducted on hazardous, uncharted, or quarantined worlds, requiring a unique and multi-disciplinary crew:
Librarians & Archivists – Curate, classify, and manage the Codex archives

Planetary & Orbital Scientific Specialists – Analyze celestial and atmospheric phenomena

Specimen & Sample Collectors – Secure biological and chemical samples under field conditions

Containment & Contamination Officers – Ensure safety protocols and secure biohazard materials

Field Recon Guards – Provide overwatch and combat support during hazardous extractions

Hazard Test & Mitigation Crews – Assess threats and prepare environments for further study

Photographers & Videographers – Capture visual data for Codex verification and archival purposes

Mission Philosophy
Project Curae operates under a guiding principle:
“Care begins with understanding.”
The Initiative believes that curing is more than treating a wound — it’s understanding the wound’s source, its context, its environment, and its place within the wider fabric of spacefaring life. Whether studying a fungal parasite spreading through airlocks on a decaying mining station or tracing the evolutionary adaptation of flora to radiation on a post-glassworld colony, Project Curae seeks to transform the unknown into the knowable, the hostile into the habitable.

Support and Deployment
Although it does not engage in direct combat or emergency relief like other QRC+ divisions, Curae provides the foundational intelligence that allows them to succeed. Its work is often the first step before a medical deployment, and its data shapes everything from medgun calibrations to triage strategies to environmental suit design.
It is not uncommon for Curae expeditions to partner with Biomancer teams for advanced biotech analysis, Terraborn squads for post-crisis planetary stabilization, or Quantum Nomads for deep-space scientific missions where signals are faint and danger unknown.
