LORE~

(Origin)
First formed in 2942, the Trident Expeditionary Brigade is a relatively new light combat/scout fleet, with a fearsome reputation. The Brigade was initially proposed by Robert Space Industries to the UEEN as an experimental fleet composition, designed specifically to respond rapidly to possible Xi’an incursions and establish/defend FOBs (forward operating bases) during the Human-Xi’an cold war. Although it excelled at this task, the brigade however is most recognized for its extensive deployment during the initial Vanduul incursions of 2945-2947. Trident is aptly named after its ( at the time prototype ) “Trident Doctrine” as well as its original 3 flagships (“HMS Poseidon 1”/ “HMS Leviathan”/ “HMS Siren’s Song”) . The doctrine laid out the golden standard of light, rapid deployment, expeditionary fleet compositions.

October 5th, 2945, Trident was tasked with protecting civilian transports during the infamous battle of Vega II. Shortly after the battle commenced, Vanduul packs outmaneuvered the bogged down 2nd fleet and seemingly had victory in hand. In an attempt to stem the tidal wave of destruction heading toward Vega II, the brigade held its own against seemingly endless waves of Vanduul fighters for over an hour until relief arrived. These heroic actions allowed many civilian transports to escape unharmed.

After the battle of Vega, Trident was tasked with patrolling systems bordering the Vanduul such as Nyx, but notably has set up its base of operations, Fort Hellen, on Castra II. Here it saw a few minor skirmishes, mostly with small bands of pirates and the occasional Vanduul fighter detachment. Following the dissolution of its UEEN contracts, the fleet has since become a free-lance “expeditionary” mercenary brigade, offering it’s services to private militaries and established organizations across the verse. Working with the likes of the esteemed ITC (Interstellar Trading Company), the Ridgerunner organization, S.W.O.R.D (Strategic warfare operations and research division) and the veteran 13th Armada. As stated, Trident was contracted by RSI during its time with the UEEN, and to this day still works closely with its benefactor. Frequently testing new ships and armors. Although the fleet has close ties with RSI, it has adopted a few Aegis Dynamics/Anvil Aerospace ships through temp contracts, including the monstrous “HMS Hephaestus” Hammerhead heavy gunship. With these additions the fleet has become an intimidating presence on the battlefield.

SERVICES~

Trident offers many services associated with all standard operating PMCs. From scouting, to security ops, to escorting. But its main focus is on the establishment of FOB’s (forward operating bases) and infiltration of enemy bases for larger organizations and private militaries. Whether you’re an industrial crew looking to scout an area for a base/ and or build one, or need a pesky enemy org base raided. Trident will get the job done. Small unit tactics are the name of our game.

Although we have a main goal in mind, we will not be beholden to that one thing. We hope to keep gameplay fresh by participating in verse wide and org organized events and a variety of offered services. From fleet battles, org wars, and standard mercenary work. Trident hopes to fight on all fronts.

No matter your calling, there is a place for you in the fleet. Structured into three main branches (the TRIDENT) the brigade offers opportunities to participate a wide range of activities.

THE TRIDENT DOCTRINE~

Logistics and research division~

The logistics team is an all-encompassing do it all group of hardworking men and women. These members are the lifeline of productivity in the org.

• Construction crew: experts at establishing FOBs in hostile, contested zones.
• Resource Procurement/management: miners, salvagers, cargo haulers, and traders tasked with supply procurement and management
• Engineering: master mechanics and technicians keep all vehicles running at maximum efficiency

• 481st Engineering Battalion: – Tech savvy marines that keep the fleet running in tip-top shape.

UNDER REVISEMENT

Marines~

Trident’s feared and respected elite trained by the 13th Armada and S.W.O.R.D. Grizzled Marines tasked with the fleets front line assaults. Experts at rapid deployment in highly contested zones, covert infiltrations, and boarding operations. These brave men and women take the fight to the enemy with ground vehicles, small arms tactics, and unyielding tenacity. Watched over by a highly trained and combat hardened medical team, Trident Operators are second to none.

• 181st armored Division: – Wielding the fearsome Nova and Storm tank platforms, the 181st assault enemy positions with terrifying firepower and offer ground troops support in the form of the Ballista AA/AI assault vehicle.

• 501st Marine Battalion: – The venerable shock troops of the trident brigade, Always first in the fight using the Ursa rover and Spartan troop transports.

• 332nd Pararescue Corps: – First class combat medics that keep the brigade’s marines in the fight with Apollo medivac/triage ships, as well as the Ursa medivac variant for ground operations.

• 212th Special Operations Division: – The elite operatives of the brigade, experts at covert infiltrations and scouting operations.

Fleet~

The Backbone of the brigade.
With the revered “four horsemen of the apocalypse”, the “ HMS Poseidon 1” Corvette, “HMS Siren’s Song” Cruiser, “HMS Leviathan” Frigate, and “HMS Hephaestus” Heavy Gunship at its head, Trident offers a daunting presence in the sky. Furthermore supported by an elite fighter squadron (nicknamed “Hydras”), and a multitude of support ships, there are few who can match the speed and efficiency of this prestigious brigade.

• 284th Rangers Division: – With the newest edition to the fleet, the experimental RSI Galaxy multi-roll cruiser (the “HMS Siren’s Song”), equipped with construction drones and big guns alike, the 284th is an extension of the fleets indomitable and innovative spirit. Additionally supported by a lineup of state of the art Zeus Mk ii ESs/MRs and the mantis interdictor, the Rangers keep a watchful eye in the sky.

• 612th “Hydras” Air Combat Squadron: – daring and skilled combat pilots wielding the fearsome Scorpius heavy fighter and Sabre light fighter respectively.

• 127th Gunship Division: – Lead by the well known Vice Admiral Morrogrim, with the “HMS Leviathan” Perseus gunship and the “HMS Hephaestus” Hammerhead heavy gunship, the 127th protects the fleet with a grim persistence.

• 101st “Poseidon” Command Division – At the forefront of the fleet with the “HMS Poseidon 1” Polaris Corvette, the 101st imposes the fleets will with deadly efficiency.

• 207th Ordinance Specialist Company – The 207th, one of the most recent additions to the fleet, rains hell with precise airstrikes using the “HMS Carrion” Eclipse class bomber.

Trident’s hopes and dreams are to create a community of likeminded friends to explore the verse with. Whether you’re a casual weekender or a die-hard dedicated citizen, we hope to make any and all feel at home with us. Above all our main goal is to form a welcoming and supportive team that has one thing in mind, enjoying the game. With that in mind, our aim is to make an immersive environment for those who do wish to roleplay, and not bog down those that don’t.

PAY-
At some point we’d like to incorporate a rank based pay system as well and a merit and skill based bonus/reward system.

for example:
(Cadet base pay- 1000 uec daily)
(Captain base pay- 10,000 uec daily)
(enemy ship destroyed- 5,000 uec bonus)
(successful raid- 50,000 rewarded to unit)
these numbers are an example and do not represent actual intended pay

Although admittedly currently limited, becoming an operative gives you the chance to participate in a wide range of activities with friends at your side. We hope to organize weekly operations both large scale, and small.

Again, admittedly limited right now, but joining the brigade it gives you the opportunity to use all resources at the org’s disposal. As we grow, we hope this pool of resources will as well. From ships, to UEC. One of our goals is to be able to have a deep resource pool to draw from and as an operative, you will have full access to this as well.
