Founders in the Void

The NOMADS were born not out of rebellion, but ambition.
Two notorious figures, Shinobi and Herzog, carved their reputations among the most feared and respected Pirate Syndicates in the Stanton system and beyond. Shinobi, the tactician—cold, calculating, a master of stealth operations and black-market logistics. Herzog, the enforcer—ruthless, charismatic, a fighter pilot whose kill count is rivalled only by his credit haul.
For years, they were ghosts in the system. No cargo was too hot, no blockade too tight. But unlike most pirates, they earned something rare: respect. When they declared their intent to step away from the syndicates, there were no death warrants or vendettas. They had earned the right to choose a different path—and they took it.

They founded The NOMADS™, a decentralized, highly mobile operation with a simple code: Freedom through profit. Not bound by syndicate politics or UEE oversight, The NOMADS move through space like shadows, leaving behind rumours, credits, and occasionally, bodies.

Smugglers by trade, The NOMADS deal in everything from high-grade ship components and restricted weapons to narcotics and rare artifacts. Their clientele ranges from corporate warlords and back-alley dealers to the highest bidders on outlaw comms.

More Than Smugglers

The NOMADS are not just haulers of illicit cargo. Over time, they became known for their precision strike teams and off-the-books operations. Their roster includes ex-UEE marines, defector pirates, rogue AI tacticians, and freelance killers.

• Bounty Hunting – High-risk targets with bounties too dangerous or the contracts others won’t touch? The NOMADS get it done!
• Mercenary Contracts – From planetary sieges to starship boarding ops, NOMADS can and will deploy with the gear and grit to match.
• Assassinations – They don’t advertise it, but when someone disappears without a trace, insiders know who to thank.
If it pays well, The NOMADS don’t ask questions. Loyalty is to the crew, not the cause.

The NOMADS don’t hold territory—they move. A mobile flotilla of repurposed haulers, stealth frigates, and covert dropships serves as both headquarters and hideout. Their operations are decentralized, cells of NOMADS acting independently but always aligned to the Founders’ code.

ARTICLE I — PURPOSE

The purpose of this Charter is to define the operational doctrine, internal structure, and guiding principles of The NOMADS: an independent, mobile collective of operatives committed to high-risk, high-reward engagements beyond the reach of law or allegiance.
We exist to profit, not to rule. We act without borders, not without discipline. We are free, because we are loyal—to each other and to the code.

ARTICLE II — CORE PRINCIPLES

I. FREEDOM THROUGH PROFIT
• Our liberty is measured in credits earned and missions completed.
• We do not engage in ideology, politics, or revolution. We work for the payout.
• We recognize no authority but the contract—and the crew.

II. NO BORDERS. NO LAWS.
• Space belongs to no one. Neither do we.
• We operate where others fear to tread, crossing territories, laws, and factions as needed.
• We answer only to the NOMADS Code, not to empires, syndicates, or corporations.

III. LOYALTY TO CREW ABOVE ALL
• All NOMADS are equal in worth, regardless of background or role.
• Trust is earned in fire. Betrayal is repaid in kind.
• The crew is family—chosen, tested, and never abandoned.

IV. GET IN. GET OUT. GET PAID.
• Efficiency is survival. Discretion is doctrine.
• We do the job, finish clean, and vanish faster than we arrived.
• No loose ends. No freelancing without clearance. No second chances.

V. LEGACY IN SHADOW

ARTICLE III — MEMBERSHIP

Eligibility –
• Entry is by invitation only. One must be sponsored by a current NOMAD in good standing.
• New operatives undergo a trial period, during which loyalty, discretion, and skill are tested.
• Past affiliations are irrelevant; only performance and loyalty matter.

Ranks & Roles –
The NOMADS reject traditional hierarchies. Operational authority is determined by mission, not title. However, roles are recognized:
• Founder Council: Shinobi & Herzog — Strategic vision, final arbitration, and major contract approval.
• Cell Leads: Operators responsible for leading autonomous mission teams.
• Operatives: The backbone of the NOMADS — specialists in smuggling, combat, tech, extraction, and infiltration.
• Ghosts: Unnamed agents deployed on ultra-black assignments. Known only to the Council.

ARTICLE IV — CONDUCT

Code of Silence –
• No client names. No contract details. No leaks. Ever.
• Violators are exiled or executed depending on threat level.

Neutrality –
• The NOMADS do not take sides in faction wars unless paid to.
• No ideological crusades. No unpaid vendettas.
• Personal conflicts that endanger the crew will be resolved decisively.

Profit Sharing –
• Standard contract splits:
o Council Commission: 10%
o Crew Cut: Divided equally among mission operatives
o Bonus Pools: Based on performance, hazard level, and intel value
• Side jobs must be declared. Hidden profits mean burned bridges.

ARTICLE V — CONTRACT POLICY

Contract Evaluation –
• All jobs must meet the following criteria:
o High Value: Risk must match reward.
o Clarity: Objectives must be achievable and concise.
o Clean Exit: No long-term baggage.
o Payment Terms: Upfront deposit or escrowed guarantee.

Forbidden Contracts –
• Jobs targeting NOMADS or their known allies.
• Contracts designed to expose or frame NOMAD operations.
• Suicide missions disguised as legitimate ops.

ARTICLE VI — ENFORCEMENT

Internal Disputes –
• Resolved by peer tribunal or Council intervention.
• Blood feuds are discouraged but, if declared, must be sanctioned and contained.

Breach of Code –
• Violators may face:
o Stripping of credentials and access
o Blacklisting
o Neutralization (if threat level is critical)

ARTICLE VII — DISSOLUTION & LEGACY

Should The NOMADS ever disband:
• All member data is purged.
• Operational logs are erased.
• Final contracts are fulfilled or liquidated.
• The Founders’ last directive is law.
