History
The Nexus Interstellar Galactic Alliance (NIGA) was forged in the crucible of frontier chaos — a direct response to unchecked piracy in unclaimed systems, corporate exploitation sanctioned by greedy megacorps, and the ever-present threat of alien incursions at humanity’s borders. Where others saw scattered captains, lone mercenaries, and isolated explorers struggling in the void, the Nexus saw an army waiting to be united.
Born in the shadow of the UEE’s failures to fully protect its distant citizens, Nexus began as a loose coalition of freelancers operating along the edges of Xi’an trade routes and in systems vulnerable to Vanduul raids. What started as an informal pact for mutual defense quickly hardened into a disciplined brotherhood. Pilots, gunners, engineers, and traders swore themselves not just to survival, but to order through firepower, and stability through strength.
Nexus Nook, once a hidden hub used by smugglers and mercs, transformed into a war council — a fortress of steel where strategy was forged and alliances sworn. From this bastion, Nexus fleets began striking back at raiders, shielding convoys from Nine Tails pirates, and securing trade routes that the UEE Navy considered “low priority.” To frontier settlers, they became more reliable than distant senators and bureaucrats; to outlaws, the crest of Nexus meant swift reprisal.
Every ship bearing the Nexus insignia was no longer just another hull in the black — it was a weapon of unity. From battered Cutlasses to mighty capital-class flagships, the Alliance’s fleet became a force feared by Vanduul marauders, respected by Banu traders, and cautiously watched by Xi’an diplomats. Through iron discipline, mercenary resolve, and ruthless strategy, Nexus evolved into a militarized syndicate that walks the line between outlaw and protector.
Today, the Nexus Alliance stands as a shield against lawlessness, a blade against betrayal, and an iron order within the chaos of the stars. Not wholly within the Empire, yet not truly outside it, Nexus thrives in the cracks of UEE oversight — where survival is not granted, but taken.
Manifesto
We are the Nexus Interstellar Galactic Alliance (NIGA).
We are not wanderers abandoned by UEE bureaucracy.
We are not victims of Vanduul raids or pirate ambushes.
We are not prey for corporations who bleed frontier settlers dry.
We are soldiers, traders, and mercenaries forged into a single war machine. The galaxy is chaos — from Nine Tails blockades in Pyro to Vanduul incursions along the Orion line — but within the Nexus, there is order. Our fleet is our fortress, our oath is our shield, and our guns are the law where the Empire’s reach does not extend.
Our Tenets:
1. Strength Above All – We survive by firepower, discipline, and loyalty to the Alliance. The UEE may falter; we do not.
2. Profit Through Power – Wealth fuels the war machine. From Banu trade to corporate contracts, profit sustains us — and the war machine secures more.
3. No Captain Left Behind – Our crews fight, fly, and bleed as one. In the face of Xi’an politics or pirate traps, abandonment is treason.
4. Diplomacy with an Edge – Talk first if it serves us. Strike without hesitation when it does not. With empires and outlaws alike, words mean nothing without weapons.
5. Honor the Crest – To wear the Nexus mark is to carry a reputation written in steel, blood, and the void itself.
We are not bound by borders. We are not chained to the Senate or corporations.
We are the line in the void.
We are the blade in the dark.
We are the Nexus.
Charter
Article I: Command
The Nexus Alliance is governed by its High Command, chosen from veterans proven in battle against raiders, Vanduul, and Nine Tails alike. Orders flow downward, but loyalty flows upward. Unity is survival.
Article II: Conduct • Discipline is law. Every member obeys the chain of command, as if on a UEE Navy deck. • Strength is respect. Cowardice and betrayal are punished without mercy. • Honor is survival. To dishonor the Alliance is to invite exile — or worse.
Article III: Operations • The Nexus Alliance engages in combat, trade, exploration, and contracts for profit and power across UEE and unclaimed space. • Piracy against our own is forbidden; against our enemies, it is strategy. The Nine Tails, the Vanduul, and rival syndicates know this well. • Defense of Nexus territory, assets, and allies is paramount — whether in Stanton, Pyro, or beyond.
Article IV: Loyalty • The Alliance protects those who stand with us, even where the Empire cannot. • The Alliance destroys those who stand against us, be they pirate, corporation, or empire. • No rival, no senator, no megacorp, and no alien throne will dictate our course.
Article V: Evolution
As the galaxy shifts — with new jump points discovered, treaties broken, and wars ignited — so will the Nexus. We adapt. We sharpen. We endure. Extinction is the fate of the stagnant.
