I’m sorry that things didn’t work out wherever you came from. That you had to learn the hard way how cruel the world can be. Cruel enough to push you here, to a place like this. Surrounded by these… animals. How barbaric they must have been on the other side. Come on, let’s get you sorted out, eh?
You wanna how it started? From the very beginning? Well, if you’ve got the time. I wouldn’t mind sparing you a tale.
Kid moves to Lorville, Avenger Stalker thinking to make ‘imself a bounty hunter not knowing the system’s rough for a lil shrimp like him. So who’s gonna tell ‘im? Hm? Not me. Not a soul in the verse outside experience. Holding cell won’t even work on his ship but luckily, bounties them days didn’t care for ‘em warm. So the kid makes a wage.
Starts seeing what the bounties is carrying; weight, smuggled goods, people, arms, the sorts. Shit, Wikelo’d lose it if he’d seen the stashes the kid passed up on due to lack of space. But that’s not even a portion. The kid ended up striking big, not once, not twice, but a few times.
Jobs getting a little too big for him to handle on his own, eventually needing hands.
And with word of a gate to Pyro being booted up by the UEE, he knew he needed ones that wouldn’t send him floating through the black the moment they got offered a bid. Cause for the kingdom he planned on founding he needed royalty, loyalty and the firepower to blitzkrieg any blockade standing in ‘is way.
And the best part for you is; he’s still looking, still hiring any ‘farer that’s got what it takes to keep up with the hounds.
He once said to me, “The line of morality in the black is gray and you’ll see white before you ever see me lose sight of control. To lose sight of what’s necessary to lead the lanes.”
“So that others may live. And so our children never have to fight. That’s why we must be the strongest. Why we have no choice but to prevail.”
So I guess that’s where you come in. You wanna join? Make some coin? Go see ‘im. He shouldn’t be too hard to find.
Life isn’t always fair, I’d say. Sometimes the miner strikes quant, sometimes it’s inert, you never know, but- what I do know is you don’t just… stop.
My people have families, they have dreams, goals, aspirations, you name it and we’ve probably got a crewman down there with the heart of a lion that wears their truth on his sleeve with pride every day.
These are my people, my hounds and they’re well fed and well… to be frank I hate bullies just as much as I hate liars and a bad trade and we’ll never be led astray from what brings us closer to our ideals.
And that’s absolute.
Look, it’s dangerous in the verse; people die every day and the lanes are nothing more than a wasteland without control, order ‘r a bit of discipline. Just don’t take it personally if you decide to work more adjacent, worst off, not at all. But I’m sure you understand. :)
I have mouths to feed here and I’m proud of the progress my guys have made so far so… I think we’re gonna go celebrate a bit.
And I mean it, we’d love to have you in the family. So what’d ya say?
Let’s keep it simple.
Rule # 1 Loyalty is everything. Without it, we’re everyone else. Communication is key.
Rule # 2 Respect is a reflection. Treat others with it and you’ll find your way just fine.
Rule # 3 Time is valuable so let’s try to make the best of it. That goes for ours as well as others’.
Rule # 4 We’re all on the same team here, behavior deteriorative of our comradery will be handled as necessary .
Rule # 5 Some people may take this more or less seriously than you do. I hope you understand what I’m getting at.
Rule # 6 Respect boundaries.
Six or Styx. At the end of the day we’re all here for a good experience. Don’t be the one to ruin that.
