Chaotik was founded in 2955 by a group of like-minded individuals who shared a vision of creating a sanctuary in the Verse. That vision is of a non-restrictive yet cohesive organization with structure. But can you truly organize chaos?
Adventurers, industrialists, fighters, and explorers alike are welcome. Whether you’re seeking excitement or building a legacy, you’ll find a home with us.
We are gamers at heart, drawn to gameplay that is both fun and challenging. Playful by nature, we value camaraderie and welcome other who share our passion for the verse.
Chaotik allows all gameplay permitted by the CIG/RSI Terms of Service. Simply put, if it’s allowed in Star Citizen, it’s allowed by us.
We aim to be at the forefront of Star Citizen’s development. When new content or features are released, that’s where we want to be.
Flexibility is key. We prioritize the needs of our members over rigid structures. When balancing organizational interests with member preferences, we’ll always favor the wishes of our community.
Our members come from around the world. Whether you are based in EU, US, AUS – you’ll always find someone to group up with!
It’s just a game, and we’re here to have fun, leave the drama behind, and treat each other with mutual respect. Disputes may arise, but we believe in open, honest conversations to resolve them. Emotions can run high, and that’s okay—as long as we approach issues with respect and settle them in the right manner.
We strive to provide everyone with the opportunity to grow through combat, teamwork, and communication. Our goal is to help each member develop their skills, explore new content, and expand their ways of thinking.
We understand and respect that real life comes first.
CHAOTIK strives to keep rigid rules minimal in furtherance of our laissez-faire philosophy. Still, certain rules are necessary for operability, continuity, and inclusion. By joining this community, you agree to the following Declarations, listed in order of importance. In short, we follow Wheaton’s Law: “Don’t be a dick.”
Declaration on Real-Life
Real life always comes first. Members are expected to prioritize themselves and their families. The community will strive to support members facing real-life challenges through any beneficial means, including fundraising or assistance.
Declaration on Treason
Treason means any malicious act against the community, its members, leaders, allies, or interests, including collusion or conspiracy. Any such act results in immediate and permanent removal.
Declaration on Trolling & Equity
Teasing and playful razzing are welcome, but trolling for its own sake is not. Behavior that is hateful, demeaning, antagonistic, or discriminatory based on protected status is strictly prohibited. Again: don’t be a dick.
Declaration on Crybabies
Members should not expect others to cater to their beliefs or sensitivities, nor engage in chronic complaining. Hypersensitivity and whining are discouraged as much as trolling. No member will be expected to follow “political correctness” beyond Discord’s Terms of Service, societal norms, and our Declaration on Trolling & Equity.
Declaration on Conflict Resolution
Conflict is inevitable in a diverse community. It should be resolved at the lowest level with minimal punitive action. Members should avoid retaliation and first attempt direct, tactful, private resolution. If needed, an Officer or Operative may mediate. If unresolved, leadership may empanel neutral factfinders, recommend resolution, and, if necessary, punitive action.
Declaration on Violations & Due Process
CHAOTIK follows progressive discipline: warning, counseling, demotion, suspension, or removal, with punishment fitting the offense. All members retain due process: appeals to leadership and a “day in court.” Any punitive action beyond counseling requires a majority vote of a leadership panel.
Declaration on Comms Behavior
Respect the prevailing subject and purpose of comms. Do not hijack ongoing conversations. Repeated hot mic or voice-activation abuse may result in loss of comms privileges. Review the Comms Guidelines channel for details.
Declaration on Rogue Behavior & Teamwork
Members are encouraged to hone skills individually, but when in community events, teamwork comes first. Be present and participate, but don’t “go cowboy” and expect rescue.
Declaration on Treasury
The community intends to maintain an in-game treasury, with donations tracked in Discord. A ledger and process for requesting funds will be maintained.
Declaration on Participation
There are no minimum participation requirements, but participation is considered in matters of promotion, demotion, aid, or discipline. Participation functions as a form of social credit.
Declaration on Minors in the Community
Children under 18 may not be full members. Members may permit their children to use this server, but only in limited sections.
All rules are subject to change at leadership’s discretion, without notice.
