History

History of Apogee Acquisitions

Apogee Acquisitions didn’t start with a grand plan — just a few pilots tired of flying solo, splitting hangar rent, and arguing over who forgot the mining lasers. What began as a handful of freelancers running small ops for shared profit turned into a crew that actually worked better together than apart.

The name Apogee stuck after someone joked it meant “as far from responsibility as you can get.” Turns out it also means the farthest point from Earth — close enough. From there, the crew started chasing contracts out past the busy systems: mining, salvage, security, and whatever else promised a decent payday and a good story afterward.

These days, Apogee Acquisitions is a solid, easygoing outfit known for getting the job done without losing their cool. We mine, salvage, haul, scout, and protect — and we do it with just enough organization to look professional, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting.

Because out here, that’s what it takes: a good ship, a better crew, and a willingness to chase profit all the way to the edge — and back again.

Manifesto

“To the Edge. For the Return.”

At Apogee Acquisitions, we make our living where the lanes get thin and the signal gets fuzzy. We’re a crew built on resourcefulness — part mining outfit, part security team, part “whatever pays today.” We find the valuables others overlook, haul them home, and keep each other safe doing it.

We stay on the right side of the law — most of the time — but we know opportunity doesn’t always come gift-wrapped in a contract. When there’s a fair deal, we take it. When there’s a risk worth the payout, we plan it smart and fly together.

What We Do

Resource Ops: Mining, salvage, and recovery from asteroid belts to derelict wrecks.

Security Work: Convoy escort, cargo defense, and high-risk transport.

Exploration: Scouting uncharted systems and finding the next profitable frontier.

Bounties & Odd Jobs: When it’s legal, fun, or pays well — we’re in.

What We Stand For

Crew First: We look out for our own. No job’s worth losing good pilots.

Professional Attitude: We keep our ships sharp, our comms clear, and our promises simple.

Smart Risk: We don’t rush in blind. Every op has a plan, a backup, and a payout.

Reputation Matters: Whether we’re hauling ore or guarding cargo, people remember how we operate — and that keeps work coming.

We’re not pirates, we’re not saints — just a crew that knows how to turn risk into reward and have a laugh along the way.

If you can pull your weight, fly with purpose, and enjoy the occasional chaos of deep-space business, Apogee Acquisitions has a seat for you.

Charter

Apogee Acquisitions Charter

To the Edge. For the Return.

Purpose

Apogee Acquisitions exists to turn the unknown into opportunity. We mine, salvage, haul, scout, and protect — taking on the kind of work that rewards skill, teamwork, and a little creative thinking. Our goal is simple: fly smart, look out for each other, and make it home richer than we left.

Crew & Structure

We keep things simple.

Council: Handles contracts, diplomacy, and the big-picture direction.

Ops Leads: Run missions and make the call in the field.

Specialists:

Collections: Miners, salvagers, and explorers — the backbone of our resource and intel gathering.

Transportation: Haulers, pilots, and couriers who keep the cargo moving and the credits flowing.

Security: Escort pilots, gunners, and tactical support — keeping the crew and cargo safe wherever we fly.

No endless ranks or red tape — just proven pilots earning trust through results.

Code of Conduct

Crew First: No payout’s worth losing a shipmate.

Fly Smart: Plan your runs, back up your wingman, and know when to hit the throttle.

Professional Attitude: Represent the crew well — we’ve got a name worth keeping.

Honest Dealings: Keep contracts clean, profits fair, and disputes calm.

Stay Flexible: Some jobs require thinking outside the usual flight path. Use good judgment and keep comms clear.

Operations & Profit

Mission costs come off the top, then profits are split among those who flew the run.

A small cut goes into the shared fund for fuel, repairs, and rainy-day emergencies.

Mission leads ensure fair pay and keep things transparent.

Amendments

The charter isn’t carved in stone. If something’s not working, we talk it out and fix it. The crew runs best when everyone has a say and a stake.
